Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will come to regret covering for Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) over this divorce papers fiasco because Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is big mad and just can’t believe that Jordan would accidentally and absent-mindedly forget to mail something so very important.
He is correct in that Jordan wouldn’t forget to mail those papers but he really should not be berating his not-ex-wife for the entire ordeal. How hard is it to refile papers and just marry Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) as he says he wants?
In fact, Curtis’ persistence in getting to the bottom of what really happened forces Jordan to make a confession she didn’t want to make — and it’s not one that’s going to get Stella in any sort of trouble.
Yes, Jordan Still Wants Curtis
When Curtis demands that Jordan tell him if she still loves him, wondering if that’s why the papers were never sent, Jordan sees her chance to just tell the truth.
“This is an opportunity for Jordan to kind of break that hard exterior and show some vulnerability and admit that she does still have feelings for Curtis,” Tanisha Harper said in the September 26, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “She starts to crack and is finally starting to admit that she does still care and she would have worked on their relationship if she had been been given the chance.”
Curtis insisted on divorcing Jordan when she lied about who really kidnapped TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) when she was trying to save her son from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Cyrus had threatened her and forced her to do his bidding and Jordan was terrified to tell anyone what was actually going on.
So, lying is not a thing Curtis will accept. How will he feel when he learns that Portia has been lying to him about who she believes Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) real father is?
