Why Chase and Brook Lynn’s Slow Burn May Simmer Out On General Hospital

General Hospital spoilers reveal Brook Lynn and Chase continuing to deny their feelings when we thought they were finally getting somewhere with admitting their feelings.

General Hospital Spoilers: When A Kiss Leads To Nothing

Typically, a passionate kiss in the hospital halls on this hospital soap opera is the beginning of a new chapter for a couple that’s getting to know one another, but GH has been screwing that up of late and the latest victim of Couple Limbo is Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

First, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) continued denying their feelings for one another after their first kiss but finally gave in. Then, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes( and Valentin Cassadine shared that New Year’s Eve kiss, but at least it wasn‘t the soap’s fault for not pursuing it as actor James Patrick Stuart took time off from GH for his new Disney sitcom. But Brook Lynn and Chase have had chemistry since the day they met before BLQ ever thought of faking a pregnancy. We finally got a kiss in the hospital halls and now they are back to acting like they are teenagers.

Why Are We Back Where We Started?

It feels like Brook Lynn and Chase are back where they started, except that he isn’t arresting her now for every little infraction. Instead, he is sending benign text messages and pouring over what a thumbs-up emoji might mean. Really? This is a great soap romance for two people who look to be in their early 30s? Why aren’t they sneaking more kisses? Or better yet — why aren’t they sleeping together?

Yes, we loved it when Chase serenaded Brook Lynn with one of her own songs, but that should have led to more kisses — not an awkward goodbye about friends and the use of childish nicknames. Brook Lynn and Chase could be a top couple if they ever became a couple, but every time they take two steps forward, they take 10 back and it’s getting tiresome. Either do something with them or not, GH — but don’t pretend like a kiss never happened and do this. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how this story plays out.

  • I don't think Brook and Chase are are a good match, both are good looking people but they are not a good look together. Not saying looks are all that matters.

  • I think Brook Lynn and Chase are in love, but with so much going on around them has caused the both of them to loose the communication they had earlier in the relationship (as it was just getting started). They both have gone through a lot emontionally and physically; it is now time for them to invest in working on their friendship and be honest with each other their feelings for each other and that they should rekindle what they wanted all along since the beginning of their friendship. I believe they could be the Edward and Lila Q of this generation.

  • This is proof that it takes over 2 years for GH writers to get couples together.

Once they finally hit the sheets - we fans do not care anymore!

New writers, please take note. "Make em Wait" Soap Playbook writing no longer works!
