General Hospital (GH) star Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) gave his ABC fans the giggles with his facial expressions this week. He and his wife, Michelle Lundstrom are popular, and they often hit the kitchen together. But this week, he certainly didn’t seem impressed with her culinary efforts.
The Viral Cheesecake
There’s a recipe going around that apparently went viral. Obviously, Michelle, a foodie influencer and competitor on Netflix’s The American Barbecue Showdown, wanted to try it out.
Often, the pair tuck into scrumptious recipes that they make in their kitchen, but this time, it got a huge thumbs-down from Steve. She shared her efforts on Instagram because it’s trending, but Steve wondered why it was so popular.
Two Versions Of The Recipe
Michelle opened her video by explaining that there’s a “two-ingredient” recipe for “Japanese cheesecake.” Usually, she explained, people use “Biscoff biscuits.” But, she swapped them out for “cinnamon biscuits.” She used Greek yogurt with zero fat, stuffed the cookies in it, and placed it in the fridge.
Steve didn’t mind that one. But the real-life Jason Morgan wasn’t coming over as very convinced. Next, Michelle made a “healthier” version that she made up. Instead of biscuits, she used very ripe “banana” and mixed it with “pureed cottage cheese.” Next, she added some “maple syrup” and then placed it in the fridge.
Steve Burton felt that it looked awful. But, he tasted it anyway. And notably, his facial expression made GH fans laugh.
The General Hospital star really does have a range of expressions, so he didn’t need to say anything to let his followers know the banana cheesecake was gross.

Fans thought it was simply hilarious and one follower told the ABC daytime drama star, “Legit love seeing @steveburton in these videos his facial expressions is everything.”

That one looked simply delicious, and Steve Burton couldn’t hide the fact that he absolutely loved it. It contained stuffed dates with brie cheese, and went down a treat.
