Rebecca Budig Is Open To Returning To General Hospital

General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates tease that Rebecca Budig, who played Hayden Barnes on the soap, has shared her interest in returning to the series after three years.

She said that she highly appreciates fans who want her to come back. And even though it has been years since Hayden was out of the show, she’s glad that some fans are still talking about her.

Rebecca Budig’s Career

Budig’s Hayden Barnes was introduced in 2015 but was cut off from the show in 2017. The actress announced that that year that her contract was terminated by the producers.

But in 2019, her character was brought back to deliver her daughter Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). She previously said that she lost the baby before she was coerced into hiding by Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher).

Budig is not a beginner in drama before joining General Hospital. She has been in show business since 1995, when she joined Guiding Light as Michelle Bauer. She also joined the cast of All My Children in 1999, where she got two Emmy nominations for Daytime shows.

Throughout the years, she guested in some popular TV shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Castle, and Blue Bloods.

Is It Possible for Hayden to Come Back?

Going back to General Hospital, the characters surrounding her role, Hamilton and Violet, are still live in Port Charles, which means it is still likely for Hayden Barnes to be written in again in the drama.

Even though there are rumors that she could be back in General Hospital, it is still not final. Budig admitted that she hadn’t heard anything from the show. And even after she was previously written off the show, she said she’s open to coming back.

As previously talked about, her first exit was not a dramatic one, and she didn’t hold it against the writers when her character got cut. She also gracefully went back in 2019. So, we believe there is no drama there, and she really is open to coming back.

General Hospital recently celebrated its 60th year, making it one of the TV’s longest-running drama series, not just in the United States but worldwide. The series won five Daytime Emmy Awards last year.
