General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates tease that Nancy Lee Grahn’s fans were surprised to hear the soap veteran is leaving the daytime soap. However, it was not the case—her Twitter account was hacked!
Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis on General Hospital, is relatively active on Twitter. But on June 20, it surprised many of her followers when she tweeted that she is no longer part of General Hospital. The tweet reads, “no longer a part of GH. I’m sorry to all the fans this may upset, but I feel like it’s time to move on to bigger and better things.”
There was also another post where the actress supposedly said she was scared for her life because the FBI was coming after her.
However, because of the misspellings and the change in her Twitter icon, her followers figured that the tweets came from a hacker.
The hacker even revealed a phone conversation with the actress and what appeared to be her personal number.
So, to clarify, Alexis is not going anywhere. Nancy Lee Grahn is not exiting General Hospital.
Nancy Lee Grahn’s Twitter Restored
Fortunately, Nancy Lee Grahn was able to recover her account by evening. Normally, it takes weeks to months to get a hacked account back, but luckily, she had help.
The actress has removed all of the harmful, offensive, and malicious tweets that the hacker posted.
Then, she shared, “Hi friends. Regrettably and quite obviously, my account was recently hacked and I sincerely apologize for any harmful rhetoric that was shared without my consent.”
She assured fans that she is once again in control of her account and that she has changed her personal number as well.
Other Soap Stars Who Fell Victim to Hacking
Nancy Lee Grahn is not the only soap star who had to deal with a hacker. Others stars like Doug Davidson (Paul Williams, Young and Restless), John McCook (Eric Forrester, Bold and Beautiful), Daniel Goddard (Cane, Young and Restless) and Ryan Paevey (Ryan, General Hospital) also experienced similar hacking incidents on social media.
When things like this happen, it is important to change your password immediately. Use a strong password that is uncommon and hard to guess, preferably 12 characters that are a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Remember not to click on links on posts that you suspect are from hackers because that can also compromise your information.
