Nancy Lee Grahn, General Hospital, In Grey’s Anatomy Crossover?

Is there a crossover happening for Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) on General Hospital and Grey’s Anatomy? Some ABC fans really hope so. Of course, that’s the sort of thing that starts rumors. Read on to find out why folks hope for that and where it started.
Nancy Shared A Reel
On Wednesday this week, Nancy Lee Grahn took to her Instagram and shared a reel of the Grey + Sloan Hospital. In the foreground, GH fans could see what looked like crew or a technician walking by. As there wasn’t any caption, many folks suspected a crossover.

Those who listened to the sound on the reel discovered that an email directed Nancy to the hospital facade. Jokingly, she recounted what happened, and she talked about how maybe she works on the rival daytime soap. In the comments, people said things like, “Crossover??? That would be amazing!!!!” and, “That would be fun if you did show up there.”
Too Many Nancy’s?
You know, it’s a little confusing with all the “Nancy Lees” on these soap opera shows. Of course, Grahn’s been playing the role of Alexis Davis on General Hospital for years. Then, on the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice, the character of Nancy Lee was played by Meg Wolfe.
And, to make it even more of a name-game, a totally different actress named Nancy J. Lee showed up on Grey’s Anatomy in Season 13,. She played the role of Cheryl in the Ring of Fire episode. So with all these connections, it could make you wonder: is there some kind of General Hospital and Grey’s Anatomy crossover in the works?
A Crossover Would Be Fun
It’s a fun thing to think about, especially since both shows actually film at the same place: Prospect Studios in Los Feliz, California. They’re basically neighbors on the same block, just across the parking lot from each other.
Grey’s does film some exterior scenes on location, but a huge chunk of the show is shot on massive soundstages there. General Hospital also does most of its filming inside those studios. So, while they’re close enough that the actors could literally run into each other, that doesn’t mean their characters will. Still, the shared studio is a cool piece of behind-the-scenes trivia.
Not Happening?
In her own words, short and sweet, Nancy explained that she’s not really doing a crossover. Instead, she ended up across the parking lot at the building with the Sloan Hospital sign above it.
It’s not the first time people became confused. One follower, Len Carter, a writer and producer, noted, “Yup, saw them do that a few times when I was there too. Thought I was in the wrong place.”
So, no, it seems that Nancy Lee Grahn won’t be doing a Grey’s crossover. Still, nobody would be complaining if she did, judging by the comments. Let us know what you think in the comments below, and come back here often for all your General Hospital cast news and updates.
