The State of Mind Podcast with Maurice Benard, (Sonny Corinthos) brings Asher Antonyzyn soon. Asher plays the role of Danny Morgan on ABC’s General Hospital, (GH). He’s not the first Danny Morgan, as Zakary Risinger took the role in 2021. Asher took over in 2023.
The 16-Year-Old On The Podcast
Maurice Benard loves interviewing actors on his podcast, and he relates to the younger people. At the end of January, he spoke with Finn Carr about mental health and anxiety. Previously, the GH star hosted Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah Gannon), who talked about coping with grief.
When the real-life Sonny Corinthos told his Instagram fans he’d host Asher Antonyzyn, he shared a nice photo of them. In his caption on March 14, the ABC star wrote:

In the comments section, plenty of people posted red heart emojis. But, others praise Benard becasue he relates to young people. Additionally, he does a good thing in bringing awareness about mental health. Recently, he hit 150 subscribers on YouTube.
One General Hospital fan told Benard, “Mo, good morning what an incredible gift. the good Lord bless you with Inspiring young adults. In today’s world there’s not too many people out there who have the compassion for others as you do. have a great weekend be safe and all the Lord‘s blessings🙏💪♥️.”

ABC fans who watch to listen in can do so on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and more. But probably, the best is YouTube. Maurice told his followers that the podcast with Asher Antonyzyn drops on Sunday at 10am PST.

When Chad Duell, (Michael Corinthos), appeared on the podcast after his character was engulfed in fire, he also talked about his mental health. He told Maurice that he needed time to work on being the best person that he could be.
