Kelly Thiebaud Inspires General Hospital Fans With Solo Travel

Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) from General Hospital (GH) recently shared a bit about her travels on social media. It seemed rather interesting and that’s probably why so many ABC daytime drama fans responded. Read on to find out more details.

A Deeply Special Place

In her post on Instagram on Wednesday this week, the real-life Britt Westbourne revealed that her day took her from her planned morning at the beach. Later, she found herself among some of the world’s most famous landmarks.

Sharing some photos, she revealed that she went to visit Stonehenge. There, it seemed that the ABC star joined others in a group trip and that made the place more special for her. In her caption, Kelly Thiebaud told her GH fans that “an Australian woman” came up with a great idea. Kelly explained that she suggested we “take our shoes off while walking the inner circle amongst the beastly stones.”

The General Hospital star described the feeling as “magical” and admitted she didn’t want to leave the area. For Kelly, the physical connection to the earth and the stones added a layer of wonder to the visit. Then she explained that it seems impressive because the massive structures stood in place “for 5,000 years.”

The Huge Stones Are Ancient

Stonehenge mystified folks for a long time because they’re not just a collection of heavy rocks in the English countryside. Per English Heritage, archaeologists believe the site was built in several stages, starting as early as 3,000 BC. The largest stones, known as sarsens, stand up to 30 feet tall and weigh an average of 25 tons.

These days, many people still speculate on why they were so significant. Well, between experts, they seem divided on whether the stones were arranged as a sort of burial ground, or whether they served as some sort of astronomical calendar. Notably, it might have started as some sort of burial place as there are other mounds nearby.

The Spiritual Aspect

Of course, there’s the side that intrigues all folks interested in all things spiritual. That’s because the stones align perfectly with the sunrise on the summer solstice and the sunset on the winter solstice. Notably, kids wonder about them from the Harry Potter series.

On the other hand, the history fascinates as well. Apparaently, the engineering and siting of them really does show that the ancient people who built it had a deep understanding of the solar cycle and used the place for seasonal ceremonies.

An Interesting Post

People engaged with Kelly Thiebaud because her destination seemed so interesting. Plus, she mentioned interacting with others and that shows her real-life personality to her TV fans. Clearly, the “beastly stones” left an impression on the daytime star. Plus, she seemed very fortunate because it’s not always possible to walk among them. Some fans commented that when they visited, the place was roped off.

Of course, plenty of people would probably love to walk barefoot amongst the place with such ancient energy. Talk about getting a reset! Anyway, it might be one of the most memorable things that she’s ever done.

Viewers React To Kelly Thiebaud

Many General Hospital fans felt impressed because Kelly Thiebaud traveled solo for her break. For many of them, it seemed very brave. The world really doesn’t feel like a friendly place at the moment, so maybe that’s why so many commented on it. One of them wrote, “Thanks for sharing! I envy you the courage to travel on your own. Strong women do strong things!”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
