In September last year, General Hospital (GH) star Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) missed his kids a lot, and this Christmas, his ex-wife, Vanessa Mathison (nee Arevalo) talked about how much she missed Lucas and Leila. If you don’t know, the kids were with Cameron in Colorado.

In July of 2024, GH fans heard that Cameron Mathison and his wife, Vanessa, called their marriage quits. At the time, Lucas was 21 and Leila was 18. Although it seemed like a respectful parting, no matter how old the kids are, it always divides families.
Back in the summer, the kids spent time with Cameron, but then they had to go back to college. One of them went to Paris, and the other to London. This year, it was time for holidays with Dad, so Vanessa Mathison had to go solo throughout the festive season.
A Solo Vacation
On January 6, Vanessa took to her Instagram and shared some Christmas vacation pics.
In her caption, she told her fans:
My Christmas without the kids this year, I had two options: stay home and cry for 7 days, or plan a little getaway for myself. So I headed up to Northern California, stayed in a little cabin on the coast, drove a fun ride, ate Christmas cookies, drank champagne, listened to rain in front of the fireplace, and saw a rainbow 🙂
Interestingly, it seemed almost as nostalgically upbeat as Cameron Mathison’s recent post. He told his fans that he spent a whole week sick with the flu. Still, the kids were there with him, and they still managed to have a good time. So, he feels gratitude this new year.

ABC fans still follow Vanessa, who still uses her surname of Mathison on social media. She got a lot of responses from General Hospital fans who remember her as Mia Lombardi on the ABC show. And of course, the supermodel also has a lot of her own followers.
