On Wednesday, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) from General Hospital, posted a very deep and inspiring message on social media. Often, he shares about his grandchildren, but this time, his message was about kids all over the world. Read on for more details.
The Post About Kids
In his post on Instagram, Maurice Benard shared a photo of little kids who looked a bit down and out. Then, he said that after reading a comment, he reflected on how people can be very judgmental.
Benard said that he didn’t care about differences like gender, nationality, race, religion, or politics. He only cares about whether one is good or bad: “The only thing I judge is whether you’re a good person or not,” he wrote. The way he sees the world is: “If you’re a good person, I’m in. If you’re a bad person I’m out.”
‘Chaos & Mayhem’
The ABC veteran daytime soap star noted that we have “Chaos and Mayhem” around us, and a lot of people are dying. The only way to solve the problems is to join hands in the fight against them. “We need to unite,” he said, calling for a stop to fighting no matter what side one was on.
Maurice Benard urged everyone to give up their selfish ways and start thinking about the kids instead. “They’re the ones that are pure,” he said, pointing out that children are watching adults’ behavior.
To the real-life Sonny Corinthos, setting a good example is important “so they can have a better life than us and be better than we are.” He ended the message with a very serious opinion: “We need to be scared for the children.”
