GH Cameron Mathison Has A Strange Festive Season Workout

It’s holiday break time for General Hospital stars, and Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) enjoys that. However, his morning workout seemed rather strange. Read on for more details.
A Strange Weather Event
On the weekend, the real-life Drew Cain took to his Instagram and revealed that he’s up in the mountains. In his reel, he revealed to his ABC fans that he was in the Edwards area in Colorado. Look, he was at a very high altitude, like “8,000ft.” However, there was no snow to be seen.

When he goes up there to “our place,” he loves to hike high up in the Rockies. So, he called it his “workout.” Notably though, it was easier to hike with no snow around. Clearly, the festive season brings him more desires than mooching around in front of a hot fire.
Taking The Kids Skiing?
In fact, he mentioned that he usually sees plenty of snow in the Vail Valley at this time of the year. So, not seeing it this year feels “completely bizarre.” Plus, he mentioned that they have up to thousands of acres in their backyard which is seldom snow-free.
Still, it’s not as if he can’t ski at all. That’s because he told his GH followers that he still planned to take his kids skiing later that afternoon. Maybe, they planned to go somewhere else unless they wanted to navigate the dry patches.
Fans React
It’s nice for ABC fans to see Cameron Mathison looking relaxed and happy. It’s been nearly a year since he lost his home in the California wildfires earlier this year. So, plenty of people responded to the General Hospital star’s strange weather report.
One viewer said, “Enjoy your time here. And yes, the weather has been extremely bizarre!! 76 degrees right before Christmas in Denver?? Yikes.”
Here are a few other responses from the discussion:
- That view is breathtaking… it must be unbelievable with snow. We rarely get snow in the south, it’s exciting when we get the powder snow…
- I see you are a morning person!!
- No snow in the Rockies in December? That’s a bad thing and it worries me. No snow increases the risk of wildfires, rivers will dry up cutting off water supplies, wildlife will die due to drought, and of course the ski industry suffers.
Why No Snow?
Citing weather experts, the Vail Daily reported that there was a “71% chance of La Niña from October to December.” They also reported that “the consensus thus far is that climate patterns are trending toward a weak La Niña phase, which signals a shift towards drier-than-average conditions.”
