General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates tease that Lexi Ainsworth is set to appear on NCIS. The actress, who plays the role of Kristina Corinthos on the sudser, has landed a gig on the popular American police procedural television series.
Ainsworth is set to portray Holly Lygnos in the episode titled Second Opinion, which is scheduled to air on May 22, 2023.
GH Recasts Kristina Corinthos
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that her character Kristina on General Hospital has been recast with a new actress. Days Of Our Lives alum Kate Mansi is taking over the role. Ainsworth took to Instagram to talk about her exit from the soap.
In the short video, the actress shared that she was excited to be part of her character’s upcoming storyline because it was inspired by a personal experience. Unfortunately, she won’t get the chance after all since she’s already leaving the sudser. However, she did share some good news with her fans.
“I am currently working on writing on my own story from my point of view, which has been thus far cathartic and hopefully [will be] inspiring to other women,” she shared.
“I’m confident that this mutually beneficial decision will lead to new endeavors where I will continue to grow and expand my talents beyond the industry,” she continued.
Of course, Ainsworth didn’t forget to thank all her fans for their support and loyalty, which was a tremendous inspiration for her. Some fans think that it was the actress’ decision to leave while others believe that she was just trying to accept and make the best of the situation.
Ainsworth’s Career Plans
The actress explained that she doesn’t want to be a passenger but the driver of her career.
“As I leave General Hospital, I will continue carving out a space for myself where I am an active part of the creative process,” she said.
“And as much as it is hard to say goodbye, I know that this has ultimately freed me for what I am meant to be pursuing,” she continued.
Ainsworth joined the cast of General Hospital last 2009. She played the role of Sonny and Alexis’ daughter. In 2012, Lindsey Morgan took over her role until her return in 2015. Her character got involved with a married college professor and got mixed up with the Dawn of Day cult.
