General Hospital’s Finola Hughes Teases New Short Film

General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates tease that Finola Hughes teased a new short film titled Darling. The actress, who is also known as Anna Devane on the sudser, shared they just wrapped production.

On her Instagram account, the actress shared behind-the-scenes photos as they filmed scenes in Florida.

“And just like that it’s a wrap on our beautiful seedy motel short. Stay tuned.”

Darling follows the story of Fiona, a woman who has been growing increasingly wary of her husband’s actions for quite some time. One day, she decides to follow him to a motel, where she confirms her fears.

Not long after, her life is turned upside down when she meets Liza, a sex worker who offers to take her inside the motel room. Fiona discovers things that aren’t at all what she expected, and the experience leaves her questioning everything she thought she knew.

Other cast members include Kristina Klebe as Fiona, Mandy Mills as Liza, Summerbell McKenzie as John, and Robert Fedor as David. Hughes’ son, Cash Young, joins the production crew as the second assistant camera operator.
Loren Michelle Rayburn, the short film’s script supervisor, commented on Hughes’ post and wrote, “so stoked to see our final product! You’re the best!”

General Hospital Scores Nomination On Daytime Emmy Awards

General Hospital landed 19 nominations for the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony, which is set to take place on June 16. Among the categories that the soap received nominations for include Lead and Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, for actors and actresses. Finola Hughes’ impeccable performance landed her a nomination in the lead actress category.

The sudser won five awards last year, including best daytime drama, and it is looking to defend its crown in the event. The awarding body consists of 1,000 professionals from the TV industry, and the results are tabulated by the accounting firm Lutz & Carr, LLP.

Recently, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences the nominees. Aside from General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful got 14 nods, The Young and the Restless had 13, Days of Our Lives had 11, and The Kelly Clarkson Show with 11.

Other contenders, including Variety, for different categories were also announced.

“Today we not only honor this year’s outstanding programs and individuals, we mark a milestone in television history,” said NATAS president/CEO Adam Sharp in a statement.

“Our golden anniversary celebrates the talented creators who have made the last 50 years of Daytime Television so unforgettable,” Sharp added.
