General Hospital’s Ex-Esme, Avery Pohl, Announces Exciting New Netflix Series RoleGeneral Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that villainess Esme Prince was last seen going overboard in early 2024 and is presumed dead; however, the good news is, actress that was in the role, Avery Pohl, recently announced and exciting project she’s working on.

It looks like she’ll be seen in a new Netflix series and GHT has all the details.

Pohl posted two screenshots of a Deadline article to her Instagram account alerting her fans to what she’s up to next.

The entertainment news outlet reported on 15 new cast members joining Netflix’s Scooby-Doo: Origins, a prequel to the franchise, including Pohl.

While the details of Pohl’s character on the series have not been revealed, what GHT can tell fans is fellow soap opera alum, McKenna Grace (The Young and the Restless’ ex-Faith Newman) is part of show playing lead Daphne Blake.

Other cast members include Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones.

The series is currently in production and is set for release sometime in 2027.

Pohl’s IG caption read, “Dog’s outta the bag. So grateful to work with so many talented and kind individuals.”

The actress’s GH fam hit the comment section, with former castmate, Sofia Mattsson (ex-Sasha Gilmore) writing, “Congratulations beautiful!!!! So excited for you!”

Meanwhile, Pohl’s friend and onscreen fremeny, Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), wrote a few comments, starting with “HELLLO!!!!” and “YESSS THAT’S MY GIRL!!!!” 

In addition, the original Trina, played by Sydney Mikayla also chimed in with, “Congratulation!!!”

Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Cain) wrote, “Yeah baby (with a fire emoji), while Kristen Vagano (Molly Lansing-Davis) added, “How fun!!! (with a handclap emoji)”.

In addition, Tanish Harper (Jordan Ashford) commented with, “Congrats that’s awesome!”

Plus, ex-GHer, little Jophielle Love (Violet Finn) hit the comment section with, “OMG so amazing!!!! Yes.”
