General Hospital: What Will Happen To Dex If Michael Drops His Vendetta Against Sonny?
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has a hard time saying no to his new wife Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Her latest ask is a big one for him.
Michael completely turned on his father Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) when he left Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). He declared all-out war on the dad that raised and loved him all his life.
Being mad at Sonny is one thing, but he turned his anger into a vendetta and is trying to get his father sent to prison. He hired Army Veteran Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to help him accomplish his goal.
Now that Willow knows what her husband is up to, she asked him to drop the whole thing.
General Hospital: Will Michael drop his vendetta against Sonny?
Willow made a very compelling argument to get Michael to change his mind about his father. She explained that Sonny being sent to prison won’t only destroy him, it will hurt their whole family, especially his young sisters.
Even before the conversation with his wife, Michael was softening a bit towards his dad. With Willow’s encouragement, he even invited the mob boss to his wedding (sans Nina of course).
Michael has it all. Willow will survive, they are parents to two beautiful children, and his mom is now happily involved with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Giving Sonny to the feds will only blow up Michael’s own life, and that is what Willow is trying to get him to realize.
She just may be able to get him to drop this vendetta.
Where will that leave Dex Heller on General Hospital?
Dex Heller has risked a lot for the job he is doing for Michael. Sonny Corinthos is a pretty scary guy and it took a lot for Dex to gain his trust. The poor guy even ended up hanging from a meat hook at one point!
Dex was finally able to get a video of the Pikeman deal, which turned out to be powerful explosives. If the video is turned over, Sonny could go to prison for a very long time.
Dex and his girlfriend, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) both believe that if he turns Sonny in, Dex will be free and the two of them can live happily ever after. That is not necessarily true. Sonny has people all over and they can easily go after Dex if their boss is behind bars.
If Michael decides not to destroy his father’s life, Dex is stuck. You cannot exactly just walk away from Mr. Corinthos. Dex is now tied to the organization, and it would be very suspicious if he tries to get out.
Michael put Dex in a no-win situation.
Are Dex & Josslyn the next Luke & Laura?
Joss has fallen head over heels for Dex Heller. This is not the same kind of teenage love she had with Cameron Webber (William Lipton). This is her first adult relationship.
Carly warned her daughter about getting involved with a dangerous man like Dex, and she knows from her own experience.
If Michael cannot protect the man he hired to take down his father, Sonny will come after him. Dex will have to go on the run, and Josslyn may insist on going with him. The mob boss would never hurt his former stepdaughter, but he would not be as kind to Mr. Heller.
