General Hospital Spoilers: Was Jason Out of Line Asking Joss To Commit Treason?
General Hospital spoilers reveal Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has always been a fierce protector of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) children.
Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) is no exception, even if Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) is actually her father. Learning that Joss was in the WSB was a tough pull for Jason to swallow, but he did it.
Now, he’s leaning on Joss to help him solace the mystery of how Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is caught up in this mess with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
From Croatia to Port Charles, Britt has been working with Sidwell to complete Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) cold fusion project.
Jason is close to figuring it out, but he’ll have to tread carefully if he doesn’t want to risk Britt’s future and the lapse of the life-altering medication she’s on that has put her Huntington’s diagnosis into a perpetual pause.
Still, I can’t shake the way Jason put so much pressure on Joss to forsake herself for Britt. Was it justified, or asking too much?
“I’m Always Going to Protect You”
All Jason wants to do is keep Joss and Britt safe, and he freely noted he would rather die than put Joss in jeopardy.
Still, asking her to reveal intel as an agent to him is asking more than anyone ever thought he would of her.
That all tracks. He’s always been there for Joss and her family. He’s never abandoned them in their time of need, and he pretty much set the standard for what real loyalty looks like. Still, Joss had a hard time with his inquest. She doesn’t want to jeopardize her own career or safety, understandably.
GH Spoilers Leak This Isn’t Protection
Say what you want, but Jason seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth. This is unusual for him, certainly.
Normally, he wouldn’t let one of Carly’s kids put themselves in harms’ way even if it was their own idea — and definitely not for his own needs, but he’s looking at this as a need for Britt – the woman who saved Joss’ life.
He’s telling Joss he wants to keep her safe while asking her to divulge information that would paint a giant target on her back if Jack found out, and she’d be an utter fool to think he won’t.
If someone found out what Joss was up to, she could be jailed or even killed for breaching her role as a WSB agent with the federal government. She wasn’t kidding — it would be treason.
Jack Knows Everything
Jack seems to have eyes and ears everywhere, which I guess is kind of the point of the WSB. Getting around them isn’t something anyone else has been able to pull off all these years, so it stands to reason Joss and Jason aren’t about to.
Jason was clever to show up at Joss’ door with a message typed out on his phone, but Joss is also absolutely surveilled — as is evidenced by Jack knowing all about her hook-up with Vaughn (Bryce Durfee).
Jason seems to be prioritizing his desire to “save” Britt over Joss’ well-being, and tha tmay come back to bite him. So, if Jack learns that Joss dished with Jason on Croatia and Britt, we can bet she may disappear as quickly as Vaughn did.
