General Hospital Spoilers: Unwise Health Decisions, Modern-Day Witch Trials, Shocking Updates!
General Hospital spoilers and updates for the week of Monday, April 14-Friday, April 18 tease unwise health decisions, modern-day witch trials and shocking updates! Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) makes an unwise health decision, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is the subject of a modern-day witch trial and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a shocking update!
Unwise Health Decisions
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has been increasingly anxious about the experimental procedure that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) proposed for Kai and is covering the expenses for.
Seeking guidance, Trina shared her worries with her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who took the initiative to investigate the situation thoroughly. Trusting her mother’s judgment, Trina awaited Portia’s insights.
After a detailed review of the experimental surgery, Portia, while in her office at GH, conveyed her concerns by stating that she couldn’t ethically endorse the operation.
Meanwhile, Trina is seen sharing lunch with Kai, who is determined to return to football; he reveals his plans to go through with the surgery, causing noticeable anxiety in Trina.
Modern-Day Witch Trials
The courthouse atmosphere echoes the fervor of the Salem Witch Trials from the 1700s, as Congressman Drew and Councilman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) appear to have orchestrated a hearing resembling a press conference.
Boyle takes center stage, delivering a self-important speech while Drew wears his usual air of self-righteousness.
In a bold move, Boyle publicly accuses Laura, insisting that her loyalty should lie with the citizens of Port Charles rather than with the local crime lord.
Present at the scene are Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), both visibly distressed, alongside Port Charles Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) who looks stern.
Boyle’s remarks are aimed squarely at Laura’s refusal to approve building the Esplanade at Pier 55, home to Corinthos Coffee, with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) also involved in their scheme.
Shocking Update!
In another scene, Sonny is with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) when Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) arrives at the door. Diane turns around, visibly startled, as Sonny remarks to Marco, “Jenz Sidwell, he’s your father, isn’t he?” Diane’s shock is warranted; she knows Sidwell is untrustworthy and that Jenz endangered Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) life in Somalia.
Recently, Diane and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) brought Marco on board at their law firm as a junior partner, seeking to slightly expand their legal team.
While Diane and Alexis often support Sonny and she frequently represents him in legal matters, Sidwell is a different case altogether—Sonny even suspects he was behind the bombing of his penthouse!
