General Hospital spoilers reveal Taggert finally revealing out he really feels now that Trina’s true paternity is out in the open.
Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) always knew in the back of his mind that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might not be his biological daughter. He realized Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) had an affair all those years ago, but he decided t sweep his suspicions under the rug and raise the little girl she gave birth to together. After all, he fell in love with her the moment he saw her and he felt she was his.
General Hospital Spoilers: Taggert Is Distraught
Trina promised Taggert that nothing would change if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) turned out to be the DAN winner but he does not see how that is possible. Trina will have two dads now and she will want to get to know Curtis and his family better. He put on a strong face for Trina, but let out his feelings when she was alone in the GH elevator. This week, he breaks down when he finally has to talk about the situation.
Taggert first decides to drown his sorrows in booze and that is how Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) finds her old friend. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has already asked her to talk to Taggert and see if he is ok, so Jordan feels this is as good a time as ever. At least it will keep her mind off of her own issue — she slept with Portia’s brother without realizing this new man she met was Portia’s brother.
General Hospital Spoilers: Taggert’s Whole Life Has Changed
“Jordan is at the right place at the right time,” Real Andrews said in the June 19, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “He didn’t go to Jordan to cry, to open up to her, but he finds himself in that moment with her and the writing is so freaking brilliant.”
Everything catches up to Taggert and he finally breaks down.
“His whole past is unraveling in front of him, right down to why his marriage failed,” Andrews said. “He’s having to face, for the first time, that he is responsible for most of it. That’s when he starts to lose it…Taggert, as a man, his daughter was his whole life, and now he doesn’t even have that.” Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how these stories play out.
