General Hospital spoilers and updates unveil the truth about Steve Burton’s candid admission. Steve recently spoke up about an out of character scene for Stone Cold and swore he’d never do something again on the show!
General Hospital Spoilers: Barefoot’s A No-No For Steve
Not only was this scene out of character for Jason Morgan, one aspect of the scene he was required to shoot apparently was a no-no for Steve himself! Steve Burton has been back at General Hospital since March, reminiscing about his time as Jason. From almost walking off set to his desire to work with his TV mom again, he’s been reflecting a lot.
However, on a recent podcast episode, Burton shared something he insists will never happen again on GH. On the Daily Drama podcast, which he co-hosts with Bradford Anderson, Burton and Anderson discussed a recent scene with Rebecca Herbst where Steve was required to be barefoot.
GH Spoilers: Jason And Elizabeth Sitting By The Pool, Feet In The Water?
Jason and Elizabeth just chilling by the pool, Anderson remembered; how did that scene come about-then Burton paused briefly before responding, his silence adding an air of anticipation.
Here’s the deal, he finally spoke up-they write the script, and we’re supposed to follow it, he stated matter-of-factly; but I have to admit, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about it.
Burton then disclosed how he had questioned the necessity of sitting by the pool without shoes, only to be informed by the powers that be that it was indeed their preference.
With a hint of sarcasm, he chuckled and said, well, I guess it’s my early Christmas present then, because I can assure you, this peculiar request won’t be repeated.
General Hospital Spoilers: Bradford Thought The Scenes Were Beautiful
Anderson described the scenes as stunning, and thought they were beautiful, whereas Burton delved into the significance of the ‘Liason’ scene, admitting it truly highlighted their friendship.
Then Burton mentioned regarding the interaction between Jason and Liz following her altercation with a intoxicated Hamilton Finn, (Michael Easton) the essence of the scene was profound.
Then he added that he didn’t believe lounging in the pool was in line with Jason’s character, there weren’t any pool scenes even years ago with Jason Quartermaine.
But admittedly, although there were love scenes between characters in the edge of the ocean by beaches years ago, there haven’t been scenes at a pool until very recently.
The rooftop pool set at the Metro Court was only added a couple of years back, so this was the first opportunity for Steve as Jason to even be near a pool!
