General Hospital Spoilers: Stella Stumbles Upon a Bombshell When Researching Her Family Ancestry

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will be minding her own business, for once, when she stumbles upon a shocking secret that has been right under her nose for years now. A while back, she took to researching her family’s ancestry in hopes that it would unearth some interesting details about where she came from. It was purely for entertainment value for Stella, but she ended up connecting with a cousin she never knew she had. That trip sent her overseas to meet her cousin and she had a blast. That being said, when her ancestry research turns up a new potential DNA match and the person is local to her, she will be stunned and work furiously to figure out who is behind it and if it’s the person that she suspects.

General Hospital Spoilers — You Have a Match

Stella has been rather busy since she had her stroke. She has kept in touch with the cousin she met online through her ancestry searches, but she hasn’t been hunting for any new familial connections in a long time. When she takes up an interest in it again, she will be stunned to find there is another genetic match on her account. This time, the person is hidden because they were a minor. However, it won’t take long for Stella to realize they haven’t been online in a long time and that they may not be underage anymore.

It doesn’t appear that this person even knows about the family connection yet themselves. As Stella tries to investigate what their genetic match means, the ancestry system may point her in the direction of it being a tie to Tommy or Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Stella will naturally assume it cannot be Curtis and may take this information to Jordan to discuss whether Tommy could have had a child he didn’t know about. This is when Jordan will feel obligated to tell Stella the truth about what she knows — that Curtis may be Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) father.

GH Spoilers Tease Curtis Can’t Know — Yet

Stell can’t possibly mention this to Curtis until she gets more information. She knows she can trust Jordan, but she doesn’t want it to look like Jordan ran and told her the truth either. She knows she needs a neutral way to bring this up to Curtis and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) that won’t make Portia feel attacked.

After all, as angry as Stella is that Portia would keep this from Curtis, they are set to get married in a few weeks and she doesn’t want to blow that up if she doesn’t have to. Stella will spend some time investigating this on her own in hopes of figuring out the definitive truth before she takes it to her nephew.

General Hospital Spoilers — Stella Comes Clean

When Stella tells Curtis the truth, it will be just in the nick of time. In other words, expect to see Portia and Curtis make it to their wedding day, and expect Stella to be as distant and moody toward them leading up to it as Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) has been.

Stella didn’t want it to come out this way, but she may have felt she needed confirmation first. Will she anonymously contact this family connection online to meet up first and find out if it’s Trina? If so, she probably won’t actually meet up with her but will wait in the distance to see if it is Trina who shows up. Will that leave Trina wondering how she could possibly have a connection to a family member she doesn’t know? Lots of questions are on the horizon, and Portia has all the answers. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
