General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Poxed Pills May Lead to a New Alliance for Ava

General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is a changed man, and he insists he’s happier this way.

While it certainly doesn’t look like it from the outside looking in, he claims he’s taking his meds and merely standing up for himself when it comes to the loved ones who have betrayed him.

But now that Ava Jerome (Maura West) has proof of his faulty medication, she’s going to start wondering how she can use this prescription snafu to her advantage.

We can count on Ava to keep this knowledge to herself — except that she won’t be able to rest until she knows who’s doing this to him and how she can exploit that person’s secret, too.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Has Unearthed a Secret

Knowing that Ava is now wiser than Sonny, and she is aware he’s not properly medicated even though he believes he is, we can bet she will continue to use this secret to her gain.

Does she really care who fixed his meds to set him off? Somewhat. But she doesn’t want to blow up their operation if it’s going to serve her well.

At the same time, as she grows to believe someone with sinister intentions is responsible for this medication mix-up, she may attempt to figure out the truth to save the man she’s actually falling for — even if it’s just another means to highlight that she’s the only one who is really there for him.

GH Spoilers Claim Sonny Hasn’t Been the Same

Everyone keeps saying Sonny isn’t the same. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is especially grieving the loss of the man she knew before Sonny fell for Nina.

At the same time, Nina is grieving the loss of a very different version of the same man that she was in love with. Ava has yet to explore the idea that Sonny’s medical mix-up isn’t all that recent.

Could improperly filled meds be the reason he’s been unstable and not like himself the whole time he’s been with Nina? If it is a newer form of medical sabotage, it’s likely that Sonny’s perception of his family turning on him is nothing more than his mental instability talking. But that’s working in Ava’s favor, and she won’t want to jeopardize her new role as Sonny’s right-hand gal.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Plots with Someone Else

Ava may not be the mastermind in plotting to destroy Sonny by making sure his meds are altered, but her awareness of such will paint her as complicit regardless.

We have to wonder who will first discover that she knows anything about it and is letting Sonny and his family suffer for her own benefit.

If Nina comes into that information, she will almost certainly use it to blow up Ava’s comfy new situation at Sonny’s penthouse. We can rest assured that Carly — and Sonny’s kids — won’t tolerate this if they learn the truth either.

Knowing this storyline is likely to be prolonged, it makes more sense that someone else who has much to gain by Sonny being unstable will come into the fold instead.

Will Ava be able to form an alliance with them without losing her leverage? Will it be Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), or someone else entirely? Heads will roll when this truth bomb gets out. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out how soon that happens.
