General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny and Carly are Drifting Toward Reconciliation – But It Won’t Happen This Year
General Hospital Spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) have been planning their nuptials for a while now.
Taking things slow was a mutual decision after Nina expressed how important it was for them to wait for Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to hopefully recover from stage four leukemia.
Now that she has, and now that Willow has given Nina every hope of having a relationship with her daughter, things are looking up for them.
If only Nina felt the same way about herself and Sonny! She may have managed to convince herself that moving in with him and making their wedding plans more official would make her feel like the guy is actually committed to her, but that nagging feeling that he’s still not over his ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), never seems to let up in the back of Nina’s mind.
And that’s because it’s true. Rumor has it that Carly and Sonny are already on their way back to one another, but we’ll have to wait until later this Winter to see how it all shakes out.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Puts Up a Good Front
Sonny is trying to hide his feelings for Carly; playing cat and mouse with her is more his style. One would think that after four marriages — and four divorces — he would know that she sees rights through his antics.
Finding excuses to drop by in the middle of the night is just the tip of the iceberg. Swinging by her place of work to dangle favors in front of her face that she continues to reject are each just another opportunity to engage with her, draw closer, and glean information on her life.
All the while, he doesn’t make a peep to his bride-to-be, who is expecting him to marry her this coming February.
We know Sonny. He’s not into giving up what he’s got until he has someone else on the hook.
GH Spoilers Suggest Carly is Caving
Carly kept holding out and refuting all of Sonny’s attempts to be her savior and friend. She doesn’t want anything else tying her to her ex-husband except for the minor child they still share.
Carly is out to prove she can be independent, and that means cleaning up her own messes and not relying on men to carry her through life — something she hasn’t been very successful at thus far.
Carly needs this, for her own mental health and self esteem. But Sonny seems intent on making sure she still needs him, and his recent favor for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was something that Calry just couldn’t turn down.
General Hospital Spoilers — February is for Lovers
While Sonny is rebuilding Carly’s trust in him and her comfort level in relying on him comes back to a palpable place, Nina will be none the wiser that he’s been warming his ex-wife to the idea of letting him back into her heart.
Yes, CarSon fans, it appears that Carly and Sonny are headed for romance once again. Fifth time’s the charm?
Eh, maybe, but as for Nina, she’s going to ride through the holidays with the mobster. There may be some turbulence along the way, but Nina is never going to lose Sonny to Carly.
She’d rather hold onto him unhappily before she let that happen. Will she have any choice in the matter as they draw nearer to their wedding day and Carly finds herself wanting her ex back?
