General Hospital spoilers reveal Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) have been the perfect picture of what it looks like when two people manage to part ways with no hard feelings and still put their children first.
It’s hard to believe these two didn’t work out as a couple when we see how seamlessly they work together for Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).
But Drew may have hit the nail on the head when he accused Sam of thinking she had the final say on all things Scout. Honestly, doesn’t she?
She’s been the solid and stable force in their daughter’s life for, well, all of their daughter’s life. Drew has been ripped out of her life on more than one occasion — some of them to no fault of his own, but some of them voluntarily as well.
Clearly, Drew has also trusted Sam to call the shots when he’s not around to hash things out. The dust may be settled for the moment between them, but rumor has it new issues are going to arise with Drew, and it’ll leave Sam begging for Carly’s help — and putting her in a rather delicate position.
General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Backed Down
When Drew showed up to cart Scout off to buy a uniform for her new school, Sam had to break it to him that she had gone against his wishes and told their daughter she would not be changing schools.
Of course, the best possible outcome transpired from that moment. A brief but heated argument between Sam and Drew quickly turned into a mutual discussion about changes in his behavior.
Sam voiced her concerns, and Drew was open to hearing them — having just heard something similar from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
It’s unclear whether Drew is aware of how much Sam has gone out of her way to befriend Carly since they coupled up, but he may soon face such a stark realization if Carly is pressured to take sides — and takes Sam’s. Rumor has it the parenting problems between Sam and Drew are far from over.
GH Spoilers Hint Sam Calls on Carly to Repay Her Kindness
Speaking of Sam going out of her way to be a friend in Carly’s time of need — few thought about the fact that Sam was also in need when Drew was away.
Yet she kept checking in on Carly — the woman in his life. Nevermind that she was raising Drew’s daughter, in his absence! It’s time to pay the piper, some fans suggest.
We expect that Sam and Carly may reunite soon, and the discussion could center on Drew’s strange behavior. Is it just him trying to make up for lost time with Scout, or is there something more serious going on?
If he is acting out of character at work and in his personal life, that suggests it has little to do with the months of time he spent away — and perhaps everything to do with what happened to him during that time.
When push comes to shove and Sam needs someone in her corner she believes Drew will listen to as a voice of reason, will it be Carly she asks to step up to the plate?
General Hospital Spoilers — Taking Sides
Carly just lost her mother. Currently, she’s on a getaway in Amsterdam trying to find out what her mom was up to in her final days and who the female victim of human trafficking was that she was helping to escape.
When Carly returns home, the last thing she’ll be expecting is that all hell broke loose between Drew and his baby mama.
As Drew relies on her to take his side, will Carly’s conscience and feelings of obligation to stand up for Sam — a woman whose shoes she’s been in — get the best of her and land her squarely on Team Sam?
If so, what will that mean for Carly’s relationship with Drew? Is this how we make room for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to come home? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers; this could get messy!
