General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Skips the Paternity Test — Can She Fool Isaiah?
General Hospital Spoilers leak Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is no stranger to scandal. She has already come clean with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about the baby she is carrying, though he has no idea it could be fathered by Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
As soon as Curtis was arrested, Portia was quick on her feet, already having a discussion with Isaiah about telling the truth about where she was the night Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was shot.
Of course, it’s not looking like she’ll have to if the attention stays focused on Curtis.
But a sudden pain in her abdomen nearly brought Portia to her knees, and now she is facing possibly losing this baby.
Will this scare actually have her reconsidering her plan to tell Isaiah the whole truth about her paternity plight? If she intends to skip the paternity test altogether, how will she fool Isaiah into believing he cannot be the baby’s father?
It’s Been Too Long Already?
So many fans are gossiping over this pregnancy and wondering just how long Portia can realistically keep it under wraps.
By now, most women would agree there is no way she’s stripping down with Isaiah and he’s not noticing any difference in her shape — not to mention how she gave up her red wine! But truth be told, plenty of women don’t show until later, especially if they’re slender to begin with. It sounds counterintuitive, but it’s true.
So, it’s not actually hard to believe Isaiah hasn’t figured it out, but that doesn’t mean he won’t.
GH Spoilers Say Isaiah’s Answer Said it All
When Portia told Isaiah she felt she would have to tell the truth about being with him the night of Drew’s shooting, he was less than thrilled. Ideally, he would like to keep their entire affair under the radar and not have it become public — or even hospital — knowledge.
He made that clear from the out-set, at which point he was wary about even pursuing this relationship.
Isaiah doesn’t want his career jeopardized over having had an affair with his boss — the hospital’s Co-Chief of Staff. Portia could interpret that as him being not too serious about her and really not wanting the commitment that a child requires, much less the living, breathing proof that he slept with her.
How Can She Possibly Pull This Off?
Do we even need to ask this question? Faking the paternity test is hardly the difficult part for Portia. She’s tampered with labs before, and while Curtis could become skeptical and run his own test if he thinks she’s lying to him, he’ll likely never question her on it if he doesn’t find out about her affair.
With the police going after Curtis, as long as a target doesn’t get pulled over Portia, she’s probably not going be forced to tell anyone about her relationship with Isaiah — even though she has already spilled the beans to a couple friends she trusts won’t repeat it. Isaiah doesn’t have the same history with Portia that Curtis does, so he’s likely to trust any test she fudges.
But if Portia’s goal is to lie and act as though there is no need for a paternity test, she would need to claim she is farther along than she is so she can make it look like the baby was conceived before she hooked up with Isaiah.
That will only pan out if she gives birth far ahead of schedule. But I wouldn’t put it past Portia to induce her own labor to pull off this ruse. Think she won’t do it? You don’t know Portia.
