General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Forced to Give Birth Alone? A Terrifying Delivery Twist
General Hospital spoilers for the week of July 13-17 imply that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) baby will finally arrive; however, it looks like something will go very wrong during labor. No delivery ever goes smoothly in the land of soaps, so will Portia be alone when she starts to feel contractions?
Will Portia Robinson Delivery Her Own Baby?
General Hospital spoilers confirm the ABC soap just released its promo for the week of July 13. A scene within the video suggests that Portia will be by herself when she gives birth.
As the preview comes to a close, a scene shows Portia yelping in pain while holding her baby bump. She seems to be by herself and can be heard stating, “This baby is coming right now.”
It’s hard to tell if she’s simply talking to herself or another person who may not be seen in the clip. Then again, she might be on the phone when she says this, talking to Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), Curtis, or a 9-1-1 operator.
The final scene of the GH preview is of Portia who is on the ground, by herself, seemingly in the birth position. The woman has towels close by and is very much in labor. With that said, it also seems as if Portia is ‘pushing’ and in full delivery mode.
The Possibilities
These weekly previews are infamous for swerving fans, so there’s a good chance that there’s another person in the room when Portia delivers, even though it’s implied that Portia is on her own.
It would be a plot twist if Isaiah were the one by Portia’s side when the baby arrived. Especially since that would rub Curtis the wrong way.
Curtis lost a lot of time because Portia never told him about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) while she was growing up. Plus, there is a ton of tension between Curtis and Isaiah, so this would simply exacerbate the situation.
Alternatively, if Curtis was there and Isaiah wasn’t, that could cause some drama for him and Portia. Curtis and Portia aren’t on the best of terms either, but welcoming their baby into this world would bond them, which may rub Isaiah the wrong way.
Still, both men would be on eggshells if they found out that Portia was alone and giving birth. Still, if any woman must be alone in this type of scary situation, it does help that she’s a doctor, right? It’s not ideal, but at least Portia will know what to do and what to expect.
