ABC General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) would very much like to keep the fact that he cheated on his wife, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero). But secrets like this one in Port Charles, New York always find a way to come out, the question is when and how? There are a few possibilities, so let’s take a look at the most likely scenarios.
The secret stays hidden!
Although, as mentioned above, secrets have a way of coming out; perhaps this time the truth will remain hidden. This is certainly the option that Ned wishes would happen. But since there are now three other people besides Ned who know the truth, this seems unlikely. But stranger things have happened, so let’s not rule this out completely!
Monica is behind it!
Ned recently confided to Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) that he and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) slept together while Olivia was overseas with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Convinced that Olivia was sleeping with Robert, Ned got drunk and ended up in bed with Alexis. Although both of them were horrified at their drunken actions, they vowed to keep it quiet. But now that Monica knows, she could easily be the reason Olivia finds out the truth.
An Ultimatum!
Although it’s possible that Monica will just tell Olivia the truth herself, that doesn’t seem like an action that Monica would take. Instead, it seems far more likely that she will issue an ultimatum: either he tells Olivia the truth or she will! It would be far better for Ned if his wife hears about his infidelity from him, not someone else. So Ned may be forced to agree! It would be a painful conversation, but if Ned wants to save his marriage, it seems like the best option. But of course, it also possible that Monica will just stay out of it entirely. But Alexis herself may be another matter!
Drunk Alexis blurts out the truth!
Under normal circumstances, Alexis never would have gone to bed with the very married Ned. But Alexis is an alcoholic, and right now she’s drinking anything she can get hold of. A drunk Alexis could snap and blurt out the truth. She may not even be talking to Olivia, but that doesn’t Olivia wouldn’t be in earshot when Alexis eventually snaps. This seems like a very likely scenario, but there is one more person who knows the secret. An that’s Brooke Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane).
Brook Lynn is a wild card!
Brooke Lynn overheard Ned telling Monica about the affair. She may blame herself because she was the one who deleted Olivia’s voice message on Ned’s phone. Perhaps if he had heard his wife’s message, he wouldn’t have felt like Olivia cheated and he might not have ended up with Alexis that night. Brooke Lynn has had a really hard time of it lately, and her relationship with her father, Ned, is rocky at best. Although it doesn’t seem like Brooke Lynn would try to harm Olivia or Ned in that way, her emotions have a way of getting the better of her. Like Alexis, she could easily lash out to either Olivia directly or to Ned, not knowing Olivia was in earshot!
What do you think?
Will Alexis and Ned’s one night stand remain a secret? If not, how will Olivia find out the truth? Will Ned tell her himself, prompted by Monica? Or will Monica, Alexis, or Brooke Lynn be the one to spill the beans? Anything can happen in Port Charles, so stay tuned to General Hospital, airing weekdays on ABC.
