General Hospital spoilers tell us that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) are on their way to becoming civil with one another.
Olivia was devastated when her husband Ned woke up after a head injury and completely forgot who he was. It isn’t just regular soap opera amnesia, Ned believes he is a rock star who was his alter ego back in the 1990s.
Olivia has cried and cried, and cried. Now her son Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) might bring her closer to “Eddie.”
General Hospital Spoilers: Leo Has Had Enough
Poor Leo. It’s pretty hard for a child to comprehend that their dad believes he is someone else. But Leo is the Quartermaine who seems to handle it better than anyone.
His sweet nature and talk of animals drew Eddie in. He formed a connection with the man, which no one else in the family could do.
But Leo has been seeing his mom constantly upset, which worries him. The final straw was when he found Olivia crying in the kitchen after Eddie called her an “uptight shrew.” Leo confronted Eddie and asked why he had to make his mom so sad.
This was a lightbulb moment for Eddie, and he finally changed his tune a bit. He nicely accepted Olivia’s breakfast offer, and the three sat down together. Olivia finally smiled.
Olivia And Eddie On General Hospital
Many believed that Ned was faking his amnesia to set a trap for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). It may be a theory but the bottom line is that Ned loves Leo, Olivia, and daughter Brooke Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) too much to purposely hurt them this way. The guy really believes he is a rock star from the 90s.
Ned Quartermaine can be difficult, but when Eddie first appeared, he was downright mean. Olivia was heartbroken.
Leo is finally bringing out a slightly calmer and gentler Eddie Maine. It is just a start but hopefully, this trend will continue. Olivia and Eddie may finally warm up to each other.
Ned is somewhere inside this new personality. Olivia is very much in love with her husband, as he is with her. If Eddie begins to appreciate her, she may see signs of the man she loves. It is not out of the question that Olivia and Eddie start to form their own relationship.
Ned will eventually come back. He may get hit on the head again or he may return on his own. This will probably take place just in time to ruin Nina and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) wedding with the information Ned has on the bride-to-be.
How will Olivia react if she is in love with Eddie? Could a “Neddie” emerge? One that has aspects of both personalities. Stranger things have happened.
