General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Nina Loses It as Sonny’s Erratic Behavior Worries His Ex-Wife, Who Clearly Knows Him Best

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) didn’t take kindly to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) insinuating that she knew Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) better than Nina does — probably because it’s true. Carly’s latest prediction is that Nina is in for a rude awakening with her beau. Sonny’s family has been going through it — first dealing with his divorce from Carly and now coping with Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) cancer battle. That has served to pull them all together during tough times, but a bigger fight lies on the horizon — and it’s going to rock this family. As a result, Nina will feel the shockwaves as they seem to shape the man she loves into a monster she hardly recognizes. Was Carly right all along? Was Nina always sheltering herself from the reality of who Sonny really is and always was?

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Isn’t Enough

Nina is about to find out that love is a two-way street, and sometimes we can’t control the traffic. While she may wish she could be there for Sonny in his time of need, the reality is that she’ll never fully understand the struggles he’s facing as his criminal organization disintegrates around him. The thought of spending years in prison is enough to make anyone feel isolated, and Sonny knows this all too well. It’s understandable that Nina might have her own concerns, but at a certain point, she needs to realize that relationships are about more than just her own feelings. As Carly swoops in to save the day, Nina will be forced to confront her own feelings of loneliness and abandonment — on top of feeling less than capable of loving this man right.

General Hospital Updates – Carly Checks In

When Sonny learns that Michael and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) both crossed him in such a low-down and dirty way, he’s not going to give it up until he makes them both pay. Carly might feel the instinct to protect her son, but he’s a big boy; Michael knew he was playing with fire. Carly’s concern is going to default to Sonny and his business. She knows how to pick up those pieces, and it’s going to turn Nina’s stomach how easily Sonny lets Carly in on how he’s feeling — something he doesn’t talk to Nina about. The truth is, they shared decades of their lives together and Carly knows the warning signs of what it looks like when Sonny is about to go off the rails. She’s the best person to prevent it, but that doesn’t mean Nina will be mature enough to admit that.

Nina is Unnerved

Nina isn’t going to like it very much when Sonny’s empire is crumbling and her relationship pays a price for it. Is this karma for turning Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC? With Sonny behind bars, she’ll struggle with feeling left out in the cold. She’s not on the inside like Carly is. She doesn’t know what’s happening with Sonny’s case, and she can’t just cozy up to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and ask as Carly can. As though that wasn’t painful enough, it’s going to slice and dice Nina’s fragile ego when she sees Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) working alongside Carly to protect Sonny’s business. It seems like Carly just knows best what to do to care for the man Nina loves. Maybe she should step aside and let an old pro handle this. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just around the corner.
