General Hospital Spoilers: Michael’s Custody Battle Jeopardize His Recovery?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) comeback to Port Charles alters the situation for his custody hearing.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was so eager to remove Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) from Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house that she jumped the gun!

Carly Assumed The Custody Hearing Would Be In Several Months

These matters usually take a long time, and she was hoping a date would be set around when Michael would come back; when she got the June 2 date, she freaked out.

At that moment, Michael was still at the clinic in Baden-Baden, and the last thing Carly wanted was to inform her son about the date and risk his recovery. She understood he would leave the facility immediately upon hearing the news.

Therefore, she, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) devised a plan to regain custody of Michael’s kids for him. Then they would submit an emergency custody petition to ensure the children stayed with Carly until Michael returned home.

Carly Had Been Warned By Several People To Notify Her Son

Carly was advised by several people to inform her son about the situation, but she chose not to. She and Diane believed that Drew’s scandals were too extreme for any judge to grant full custody to him and Willow Tait-Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was arrested for drugging Drew, leading to speculation that she may have given him the medication without his consent.

This could explain his erratic behavior with Jacinda (Paige Herschell),but it still requires proof of her guilt in court.

Additionally, Drew and Willow were filmed engaging in inappropriate behavior on a nursery floor in the Quartermaine mansion, which did not reflect well on them.

Michael Looks Great, But Did He Leave Treatment Too Soon?

The chances of Carly getting custody of the children seemed promising, but ultimately, the only way Michael could ensure he got custody was by going back to Port Charles. Did Jason, Diane, or anyone else inform Michael about his custody problems and upcoming court date? Did Michael possibly leave the German facility a bit too early; could this risk his burn recovery and make him vulnerable to setbacks or infections?

Michael appeared to be in great shape during the Friday, May 23 episode when he officially returned to PC at the 2025 Nurses Ball, but that doesn’t guarantee he’s fully recovered. General Hospital spoilers suggest anything can happen, so if Michael left the clinic without his medical team’s approval, could that put him at risk for health complications soon?

  • Oh for gawd sake. Give the man a break. He's gone through enough for now. Let him recover, be with his kids, get back to work and start living again. There's plenty of drama with the Gio mess, Sasha's secret down the road, Lulu's debacle, and DreWillow's downfall... leave Michael alone.

  • I certainly hope writers don't allow Michael to have a set back just because he shortened his stay at the Germany facility. As it seems his treatments did work (even though viewers weren't privy to his scarring), there should be a doctor in the US that could continue his treatment (the family certainly has enough money to do whatever is needed state side). Hope writers don't create a situation whereby Michael can only continue treatment in Germany. Give the guy a break and allow him to reunite with his kids and live a healthy life as he has had enough "drama" for the rest of this year.
