General Hospital spoilers leak Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has been causing quite a stir in Port Charles. He’s pulling all the strings and using any means necessary to get what he wants from Ava Jerome (Maura West) — and what he wants is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). The problem is that no one seems to know who’s really behind all this chaos, because it’s clear Mason is no boss man. But one thing is for sure –- his reign of terror may soon come to an end. Sonny has had enough, and no one will be surprised if he soon decides that taking Mason out is the only way to bring the real mastermind hiding behind him out into the open. Mason’s hold over Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) could lead Ava to start wondering if the inverse may be true. Is Austin calling the shots and pretending to be under his cousin’s thumb?
General Hospital Spoilers — Mason Holds the Key
Allegedly, Mason discovered that Ava had tried to kill Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). Armed with this damning information, Mason now holds Ava tightly under his control. The mob boss and his unknown superior want to extract vital details about Sonny and his dealings with the Pikeman Group — an entity Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has now strongly warned the mob boss about. Sonny has always been a shrewd judge of character.
Recently, he began to sense that something was amiss with Ava. Ava finally broke down and confessed the extent of Mason’s threats against her and her birth mother, Delia Ryan (Ilene Kristen) to Sonny. The dangerous gangster had made it clear that unless Ava complied with his every demand, he would eliminate Delia without hesitation. Under intense pressure, Ava finally divulged the monumental secret that she had been harboring. She admitted to killing Nikolas, and that Mason had taken possession of his lifeless body — or so she thinks. However, unbeknownst to Ava, Nikolas is alive, albeit in a coma, and hidden away by Mason. But how much does Austin know?
GH Spoilers Indicate Austin Shakes Things Up
Fans will be on the edge of their seats as they watch Ava spiral into a frenzy over Sonny’s possible involvement in Mason’s death. But little do they know, Austin has been keeping a watchful eye on his cousin’s whereabouts and may even be the mastermind behind the whole situation. Could his plan be to manipulate Ava’s vulnerability and gain her trust? Might Austin see killing Mason as a means to making Ava lose faith in Sonny? Who will Ava side with — Sonny, or Austin?

If Austin thinks he’s going to fool Ava, he’s got another thing coming. Rumor has it she’s been onto him for some time now, and the night she let herself fall into bed with him is something she’s come to regret. Ava has long suspected Austin knows more than he is letting on, and she’s starting to wonder if the biggest mistake she made was letting Austin help her dispose of Nik’s body in the first place. As Ava starts to put the pieces together and realize nothing went wrong until she involved Austin, she may begin to question whether he was lying from the start — like when he assured her Nikolas was dead.
