General Hospital (GH) spoilers and news reveals that Irish-American actor Michael Easton (Hamilton Finn) posted a moving eulogy and tribute to Sinéad O’Connor following her death last week at the age of 56.
General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Easton’s Tribute
He posted on Facebook “A piece of my heart breaks,” following the death of the singer made famous by the song “Nothing Compares 2 U.”
Her death was announced by her family on July 26, following a turbulent life marked by personal tragedy and career controversy. Easton added, “In many ways, she was the true, soulful voice of Ireland.” The Grammy-winning singer was named Rolling Stone’s Artist of the Year in 1991 and she also went by the name of Shuhada’ Sadaqat after converting to Islam. She was an adamant proponent of social justice and human rights.
General Hosptial Updates – Michael Easton Plays Finn
Easton is a graphic novel writer and he concluded by writing “Sinéad held in her soul the unique beauty of a country as well as its pain and sadness and was a passionate warrior for truth. Rest in power, sleep in peace.”
Fans responded positively to Easton’s tribute with one writing “Thank you for your kind words. Not many people outside of Ireland truly got her.” And one fan simply wrote “Beautiful tribute. Thank You.”
What Happens Next In Port Charles?
Easton is once again in the spotlight on the ABC sudser. His character Hamilton Finn has been heating things up this summer by rekindling his romance with Head Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
It was touch and go and for a while before their relationship went cold over her betrayal and lies in regard to her ex Nikolas Cassadine. At one point a defiant Liz chose to protect the dark knight by lying to Finn and saying she was pregnant with Nikolas’ baby. Obviously, Finn was flabbergasted and walked away only to find out later that St. Liz was merely lying to help out a friend.
Finn now seems ready to get past Liz’s convoluted thinking and dramarama lifestyle—until the next crisis, no doubt. Fans were lukewarm on this medical couple the first time around, tell GH fans are you shipping this iteration of Liz and Finn?
