Heather thinks that this is in Esme’s best interest, but Heather’s advice should never be heeded, the proof of that is that she is locked away for life due to heinous crimes and misdemeanors.

Poor Esme whined to Heather that she feels like two people now, the old Esme and the new Esme. This blended version has her back to thinking Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is a witch and deserves to be dealt with for stealing her former boyfriend Spencer Cassadine (Nikolas Chavez).
Heather praised Esme for being a good liar and thinks she’ll have no trouble fooling people. But Esme and her son Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) were given shelter by Laura Collins (Genie Francis) who observed her up close for a period of time. Laura is perceptive, as is her psychiatrist husband Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
If Laura sees a change in Esme she may chalk it up to her being on her own now, and the added stress of being a single mom.

Under questioning, Esme might make light of Laura’s concerns. But during the week of January 1-5, Laura learns something about Esme that catches her attention. Show spoilers tease that Laura’s discovery could change everything!

It could be that Laura discovers that Esme went to Pentonville to see Heather. That should ring alarms bells. Esme is a clever schemer and she might say that she felt sorry for Heather because she is locked up for the holidays.
Laura may buy this story, but she would still be unsettled that Esme decided to spend time with Heather and not her son.
It’s also possible that Laura realizes that the glove she found after the break-in at Wyndemere belongs to Esme.

If Laura asks her why she was at the spooky castle, Esme could again lie and say she was there to try and remember her past life.
Then again, Esme could mention something that the new Esme would not know about—prompting Laura to wonder if the old Esme has returned.
