Breakup At A Ballgame—Really?
A behind the scenes photo in Soap Opera Digest shows Britt, in General Hospital baseball uniform, and Jason, in ELQ baseball uniform, having what appears to be a serious conversation.
They’re sitting on a bench, and you can tell by the look on Jason’s face what he has to say isn’t exactly light conversation, he looks very serious although kind.
Britt looks at him intently and listens as he seems to be ready to break some bad news, although he wants to make sure she knows it’s not because he doesn’t care for her.
General Hospital summer spoilers tease that unlikely as it may seem now, Britt will be romantically linked with Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer)! So, what happens this week on the ABC soap is likely the beginning of the end for ‘JaBritt’.
Jason In An ELQ Baseball Uniform?
Just the sight of Jason in an ELQ baseball uniform instead of a Corinthos Coffee uniform might be enough to shock Britt, or shock anyone on the ballfield, for that matter!
Anyone who knows Jason’s history knows he eschewed and rejected the Quartermaine family and their lifestyle for years, after his traumatic brain injury.
That is, all except his grandmother, Lila Morgan Quartermaine (Anna Lee); that is why he changed his name from “Jason Quartermaine” to “Jason Morgan”.
But as for Corinthos Coffee, they lost their piers and their warehouse to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) so until Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) buys the property back, it’s pretty much a non-entity.
It’s A New Day, A New Jason, A New Beginning
But it’s a new day, a new Jason, and a new beginning that Jason will likely try to explain to Britt-and unfortunately, that doesn’t allow for a love life. As long as he’s trying to make up for lost time with his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) his full focus needs to be on him.
Britt should actually understand that, with her caring for her surrogate son Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) as much as she does.
Britt has a new lease on life, so why should she be on an old leash of love if Jason needs to let go? She should let him go, even though he’s not dumping her for another woman, he’s doing what he should have done all along for his son!
