In a twist that could shake his family to its core, WSB Chief Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) has orchestrated a trip to Germany for the burn-laden Michael — and his protective mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), whom Jack is seemingly so fond of.
However, this could be the perfect setup for a sinister plot where Jack might kidnap both of them, leaving Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to battle not just for his family’s return but against a formidable federal foe — all while coming at it from a much weaker position with a newfound heart condition. Can Jack be trusted, or did Carly get it all wrong?

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has tried to tell Carly time and time again that she shouldn’t be so trusting of Jack, but she hasn’t listened.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) tried to tell her much the same — and she’s known Jack for years and trained with him in the WSB — but Carly thought she knew better.
Surely, the chemistry she’s feeling between herself and Jack can’t all be a charade? Sonny has tried to tell her, too, but his opinion counts for even less these days when it comes to Carly’s private life.
It’s not as though he listened when she warned him about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Moreover, Sonny really can’t be bothered to chase down rabbit holes and hand Caly concrete proof that Jack is corrupt. He’s busy navigating his own troubles right now.
He is every bit as preoccupied with Michael’s condition as Carly is — and that’s why he was willing to take the favors that Jack was dishing out in getting Michael to Germany.
Furthermore, he’s dealing with a nagging and apparently worsening heart condition that he hasn’t told Carly about just yet. He may come to regret that soon if he loses both Carly and Michael in the process of relying on the new federal agent in town.
General Hospital Spoilers — Jason to the Rescue?
As is always the case, Jason predicts that things will go south, Carly doesn’t listen, and he cleans up the mess she makes or otherwise gets herself into.
This time around, everyone will be waiting with bated breath to make sure Carly and Michael get to Germany safely. The concern is likely that something could go wrong with Michael while in flight — even though there will be a doctor on board.
But what if the flight goes missing altogether? What if there is no record that Jack ever helped Carly arrange for this — leaving no paper or digital trail that links back to him?
