General Hospital Spoilers: If Michael Didn’t Shoot Drew, What is He Hiding?
General Hospital spoilers tease Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) knows when someone is lying to her, and she is certain that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is hiding something.
Plenty of fans have been in agreement with her for some time, but that doesn’t mean he’s hiding that he tried to kill Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Being at the scene of the crime doesn’t mean he committed it; Tracy should know that better than anyone, since she was there too.
But Michael’s confidence is throwing Tracy for a loop; it’s as though he knows for certain that he won’t go down for this.
At the same time, it sounds like he may be about to if Drew and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) get their way. Just what is it that Michael knows and isn’t letting on? Let’s mull over the options.
He’s Got Blood on His Hands
The one truth many of us don’t want to entertain is that Michael actually did try to kill his uncle. This would make the most sense. Yes, he does have a history of violence.
Yes, he has also been the victim of violence, which could have left him with trauma that makes it more likely he’ll perpetuate the cycle. Let’s also not forget that he grew up with a mobster for a father.
As much as we love Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he makes a living lying through his teeth to cover his own tracks — even when he has taken someone’s life.
It shouldn’t be the least bit shocking if Michael found himself falling into his own family’s pattern of behavior to seek justice for his broken heart and dismantled life in the wake of Drew and Willow’s affair.
GH Spoilers Leak Michael Remembers What Willow Does Not
It’s also possible that Michael truly is innocent. If he believes justice will prevail, then that would explain why he’s so convinced that he won’t take the fall for this crime. Perhaps he knows who did it. It’s possible he saw the whole thing go down.
Think about the timeline involved. If Tracy arrived just moments after Drew was shot, finding him laying on his living room floor bleeding out, that means it was minutes — if that — beforehand that someone shot him. Also recall that she showed up and saw Michael leaving the premises.
The timing looks suspect because it is suspect, but that doesn’t mean Michael is the one who pulled the trigger.
Could he have witnessed Willow do it, even if she doesn’t remember doing so herself? That would explain why he is so worried about his kids being anywhere near her, if he suspects she is not only a violent criminal but mentally unstable.
The Truth Could Set Willow Free
Furthermore, it could be that Michael is reserving the truth to suit his own agenda. He might have seen who shot Drew and decided to keep his lips zipped so that Willow continues to look guilty even if she isn’t.
If his goal is keeping his kids away from her, then he may do whatever is necessary to make that happen — including following the actual perpetrator that night to see where they stashed the gun afterward, and then seizing it and planting it in Willow’s room at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house later on.
It’s the perfect crime, and Michael would be guilty of trying to frame Willow, but that still begs the question of who really did it, and that list is long.
What do you think? Did Michael try to kill Drew? Did he watch Willow do it for him, or someone else entirely? What is Michael hiding? Sound off in the comments, and keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers every day.
