General Hospital spoilers and rumors pose interesting questions-if Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was blackmailed by John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrison) to work for him, why’s he so intent on arresting him?
Jagger’s going all over Port Charles trying to find Jason and put him under arrest-there has to be more to the story!
General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Morgan’s Mysterious Mission
Jason told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) part of the story, only he didn’t name Jagger as the man in the room with no windows-it was FBI headquarters.
Jagger was supposed to have been based on the West Coast in San Francisco, but yet he blackmailed Jason into working as a mercenary for him in Quantico, in Virginia. One of the things the FBI says on its website that’s in Quantico is interesting- The Hostage Rescue Team (HRT).
Is that Jason’s mysterious mission he has to finish or he won’t be able to live with himself-rescuing a hostage? But that’s real life-in soap life, that has nothing to do with what Jagger claims his mission is for Jason that he had to blackmail him to accept.
GH Spoilers: Mr. Big
This seems to smack of a Mr. Big type storyline where Jagger’s not what he appears to be-longtime viewers will remember a PCPD police chief named Burt Ramsey (Bob Hastings).
Ramsey was the police chief for many years in Port Charles before it was revealed he was really a mobster who infiltrated the police, called Mr. Big!
Why else would he have Jason on a rooftop with a sniper and a sniper rifle pointing at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)? On the other hand, Jason could have infiltrated the mysterious mob organization headed up by a mysterious presumed dead man named “Stone” and Hamish Hampton (Jeff Gunn) part of that organization.
But if that was what Jagger wanted him to do, why did he have to blackmail him to do it and why is it such a secret-something’s just not adding up!
General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Morgan’s Mission May Be Separate But He Needs The Connections
It’s always possible that Jason’s mission may be separate from Jagger’s, having discovered someone needing rescue in his work for Jagger as a mercenary.
He may need the connections that he has through Jagger’s blackmailed job and that Jagger is likely providing in order to complete his private mission.
That’s why he would say to Michael that he was blackmailed into being a mercenary but not reveal the blackmailer or what he has to finish to live with himself.
Jason trying to mount his own rescue mission in the midst of Jagger’s false agenda is the only thing that makes sense and why Jagger wants to arrest him.
He’d consider that Jason has gone rogue by diverting Hamish’s aim away from Sonny and Jagger’s worried about Jason outing him!
