General Hospital Spoilers: How Far Will Jason And Sasha Go To Protect Michael Regarding The Baby?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease a very important question for the Quartermaine and Scorpio families. How far will Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) go to protect Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) regarding the baby?
Sasha Had An Uncomfortable Encounter In The Hospital
Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is ecstatic after receiving a sonogram of her baby, and rightfully so. However, tensions flared when she and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) had a heated argument in the examination room, where Willow was briefly serving as Sasha’s nurse.
This confrontation has left Sasha feeling uneasy, as she suspects that Willow might be piecing together the truth about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) being the actual father of her child.
With access to Sasha’s medical records and knowledge of the baby’s due date, Willow can deduce the timeframe of conception.
She has already reminded Sasha that this occurred during the tumultuous period when she and Michael were grappling with her affair with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
Why Is No One Questioning Sasha And Jason As Having “Coupled”?
Fortunately, Willow has just accused Sasha of exploiting Jason during a chaotic time at the Q mansion to access his funds; so, can Sasha and Jason maintain their facade? However, if either Sasha or Jason makes a mistake, Willow might uncover the truth; she wouldn’t hesitate to leverage that information against Michael in their contentious custody dispute.
When Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) began loudly proclaiming throughout Port Charles that Jason was the father of Sasha’s child, it was odd that no one found that surprising.
Although Sasha and Jason have spent considerable time together over the past year, they never appeared to be on the verge of a romantic relationship. Yet, none of their family or friends seemed to question the notion of a brief encounter between Jason and Sasha.
How Far Will They Go To Keep Michael’s Paternity A Secret?
Jason and Sasha have nurtured a close friendship both in public and private, but nothing more-their appearances together have been infrequent, and Jason was absent during the sonogram appointment.
Now, however, Sasha feels uneasy; following her altercation with Willow, she is anxious about the possibility of Willow or Drew discovering the truth.
Will this situation alter the dynamics between Jason and Sasha-how far are they willing to go to persuade their friends and family that their narrative is genuine?
It would be reasonable for Sasha to invite Jason to accompany her to future doctor’s appointments, as that’s the behavior one would expect from a responsible and engaged father.
If Jason attends these appointments, he could keep Michael informed about the baby’s development, which Michael would greatly appreciate; in fact, he’s making sure Michael gets a copy of the ultrasound image.
What About After The Birth?
But what about after the birth; will Jason be at the birth instead of Michael; will he help Sasha decorate the nursery, and be there for her during her recovery? Will he step into the father role with the newborn- Jason fulfilling a father role in the life of the baby would be very difficult emotionally for him and for Sasha.
And if it continues, it could also be very difficult for the child to someday learn that Jason isn’t their father. Sasha’s original plan to raise the baby on her own might have worked if she had left Port Charles, but now she can’t avoid having the families in her life.
And Jason will have to take an active role in the baby’s life to keep up the illusion that he’s the baby’s father-but bear in mind, he practically raised Michael.
Ned Quartermaine Pretended To Be The Father Of Kristina Corinthos-Davis
Years back, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) pretended to be the father of Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and he adopted Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) who’s actually a Jerome.
Leo is really Lucas Jones’ (Van Hansis) little half-brother, since Julian Jerome (William DeVry) was their father, and also the late Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco). Jason at one time pretended to be Michael’s father when AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) really was.
This could explain why no one’s surprised about Jason saying he’s the father of Sasha’s baby. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) certainly suspects he’s stepping up for Sasha like he did for her!
Will This Cover Story Continue To Work?
The deception appears increasingly untenable; will they ultimately resort to feigning a genuine relationship to maintain their facade, or even tie the knot to divert attention from Michael? It seems nearly impossible to navigate this situation without leading to turmoil and sorrow for all parties involved.
Michael expressed his desire to play an active role in the child’s life, yet he recognized the complications his relationship with Willow would bring.
It seems more probable that Michael will eventually come forward as the father than for Jason and Sasha to convincingly uphold the charade that Jason is the biological parent.
Michael’s Facing A Tough Battle With Willow Over Their Kids
Michael is currently grappling with a challenging situation involving Willow, especially now that Drew is influencing her decisions.
Nevertheless, he may ultimately decide that confessing to being the father of Sasha’s child won’t jeopardize his custody case. After all, Willow was the one who cheated initially, and her behavior following that betrayal certainly raises questions about her fitness as a mother.
It would be unfortunate if Jason and Sasha became so entangled in maintaining their facade that they attempted to form a romantic relationship or even marry just to sustain the illusion. Both of them deserve the opportunity to experience genuine love, and Sasha’s child has the right to know their true father, Michael.
