General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveal GH Alum Jeffrey Vincent Parise has announced that he will take part in the upcoming Paramount+ movie “The In Between.”
The actor shared the news on social media, revealing: “Just wrapped my part on The In Between, a new film directed by Arie Posin and starring the insanely talented Joey King and the wickedly witty Kyle Allen. It’s gonna be a good one!”
Joey King, the younger sister of the “Young and Restless” actress Hunter King (Summer), stars in the movie opposite Kyle Allen. Joey and Allen portray a teenage couple that proves love knows no boundaries, including death. After surviving a car crash that ended her boyfriend’s life, Joey thinks Kyle is trying to connect with her from the afterlife.
Arie Posin writes and directs the movie while Marc Klein writes the script. Paramount+ just launched last March 4, which replaced CBS All Access, but the “In Between” has no scheduled release date yet.
The Troublemaker
Parise is famous for his previous villainous roles in different series. He portrayed Simon Black in the “Young and Restless” as a dangerous and charming stranger who visited Genoa City to settle unfinished business. His work as the bad guy Simon earned him an Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Guest Performer category last year.
But before wreaking havoc in Genoa City, Parise had established himself as Carlos Rivera from 2013 to 2016 in ABC’s “General Hospital” who shot and killed the popular Duke Lavery, portrayed by Ian Buchanan. His character tied to the criminal world also made him a nominee in an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
In the 13th season of the CW’s “SuperNatural,” he portrayed Asmodeus, the fourth Prince of Hell. He stole the throne from his father, Lucifer who was weakened, and imprisoned him together with Castiel, to move forward for the impending invasion of the Apocalypse World.
Fans will still have to find out if Parise continues his legacy as a villain in his upcoming role in the “In Between” as the actor did not disclose what his character will be.
“Love is Love”
The actor had also released a new short film last March titled “Love is Love” together with Kathrine Narducci. The quarantine film was conceived through a chance encounter of Parise and Narducci on the Clubhouse app exchanging messages and videos to each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. The two made the film without even meeting in person.
