General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Reminds Liz of Her Late Husband — If Only She Could Figure Out Why

General Hospital spoilers tease as Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) starts to spend more time with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) during her visits to Wyndemere, she’s going to start feeling a strange familiarity around Esme — like she has known her for a long time. She won’t be able to put her finger on why she feels such a strange comfort around her, but she’s going to try to rationalize it the best way she knows how while keeping it to herself. The last thing Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) needs to hear is that Elizabeth is developing some sort of soft spot for Esme.

General Hospital Spoilers — Maybe It’s Because She Can Relate to Esme

Elizabeth might convince herself that she sees part of herself in Esme, and that’s why she can understand where she’s coming from. It’s not that she feels bad for her. She’s still furious with Esme for taping her son, Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) having sex with his girlfriend, Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy).

Elizabeth hasn’t forgotten all the horrible things Esme has done, or that she believes she is behind The Hook killings, but she can’t shake that Esme is also a young and unmarried mother who is scared and in need of support. Maybe she just knows all too well what it’s like to be a single mom with no family.

GH Spoilers Indicate Past Mistakes Don’t Always Make Us Who We Are

Elizabeth might reflect on some of her own less-than-perfect decisions and come to realize she wouldn’t have done well in life if she was condemned for her mistakes. Loving people gave her a second chance and helped her up when she fell down. Esme doesn’t have any such person in her corner. What if Elizabeth could be the one who makes all the difference for her? She won’t let herself go there, but she’s going to think about it.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Unspoken Truth

The truth is, Elizabeth would have no way of knowing why Esme reminds her of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), because only two people know about that connection — Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather Webber (Alley Mills), Esme’s birth parents. Indeed, Esme may turn out to be Franco’s half-sister, which would speak to why Elizabeth feels like she sees elements of Franco in Esme. Still, it won’t be any less startling to find out, eventually. Stay tuned for more GH news, updates, and spoilers as this storyline continues to unfold.
