General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth’s Shock, Port Charles’ Grief-Epiphany Didn’t Make It To Johns Hopkins?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will get a shock, and Port Charles will grieve. Elizabeth will worry and investigate when Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) doesn’t return her texts, and find out she never made it to Johns Hopkins, where she’d been accepted as a doctor.
General Hospital Spoilers: From California To Maryland
After passing her tests to become a doctor, Epiphany had gone to a school out west, possibly where Dr. Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) is. She completed her pre-medical school in record time, and was accepted into the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. But Elizabeth has texted her several times with no response-although she hasn’t tried to actually call, she’s only texted.
She knows how busy pre-med students are and usually it’s a bunch of phone tag, plus the difference between east and west coast time. So that’s why she hasn’t tried to call her, but after all the texts unresponded to she thinks she had better investigate further.
GH Spoilers: Epiphany Johnson Had Some Health Problems
Elizabeth knew Epiphany very well, and she knew she had some health problems. She’d had two heart attacks about eight years apart, the second one a complication from type ll diabetes she’d been diagnosed with in between. Elizabeth starts to worry because she knew she was supposed to be moving from California to Maryland, to start at Johns Hopkins-but at least the phone didn’t reject the texts. She doesn’t understand why Epiphany hasn’t answered and didn’t send anything to the review board, even though it turned out she didn’t need her to. Elizabeth decides to try and give her a call after she gets home from GH.

By the time Elizabeth tries to call the phone kicks her over to voicemail but the mailbox is full, and now she really starts to worry. It’s not like Epiphany at all, and she decides to start an investigation because of Epiphany’s health history, and no one at her previous school has seen or heard from her. She doesn’t even know who she would have to call in case of an emergency, so she calls Johns Hopkins and finds out she hasn’t shown up.
Elizabeth calls where Epiphany was moving from and has the police do a welfare check there first, since she hadn’t given her any new address in Maryland. Unfortunately, when she gets the call from police the news is bad, the worst imaginable-Epiphany never made it to Johns Hopkins and apparently had a fatal heart attack in her sleep.
