Deep within his soul, he realizes it’s time to throw in the towel and retire, even Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) shares this sentiment.
Yet, before Sonny steps away from the world of organized crime for good, he might have one final task to tackle. Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) has been a persistent irritant for Michael, and Sonny understands that this scoundrel needs to be dealt with.
The blow Jason delivered in the Quartermaine entryway before Christmas hardly suffices as retribution for all the mischief Drew has managed to escape.
Not only did Drew audaciously kiss Michael’s wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), twice, but he also took things further by sleeping with her in the Quartermaine nursery—and that was totally despicable.

Drew has been a catalyst in the unraveling of Michael’s marriage, proving that it truly takes two to create chaos. Without a moment’s hesitation, he swooped in on Willow the very day after she and the kids vacated the gatehouse, showing a complete disregard for the couple’s ongoing separation.
It was a questionable decision for Willow to invite Drew to Christmas Eve at Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) home, especially given the delicate situation.
And it was even more reckless to agree to take Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to Washington, DC, to witness Drew’s swearing-in ceremony; Drew’s relentless pursuit of these invitations only made it worse.
The final blow came when Drew persuaded Willow to use her medical proxy for Michael, as a bargaining chip to regain custody of Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko).

Willow and Drew’s actions regarding the medical proxy could seriously affect Michael’s recovery-it’s uncertain if Drew fully understands the situation he’s in.

Although Sonny is planning to step back from the mob and relinquish control to another boss, he might have one last hit job before leaving: taking out Drew to revenge Michael.
