Will Cody Be The One Who Ultimately Stops Ric And Ava’s Extortion?
Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Ava Jerome (Maura Kelly) are leveraging their knowledge of a crime to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to blackmail her.
Aware that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) was responsible for the car crash that nearly claimed the lives of Ric and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), they chose not to report it to the authorities. Instead, they are exploiting this information to extract money from the Cassadine Estate.
Their Dolos credit card was mistakenly swapped with Cody’s while they were at the Brown Dog, and the bartender noted its impressive credit limit. When Cody noticed Ava receiving the card, his curiosity was piqued, and it’s clear he’s about to investigate further, his Mac and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) genes kicking in.
Mind Your Own Business, Then You Won’t Be Minding Mine!
Cody has a knack for getting involved in the affairs of others-this trait can sometimes make him a hero, but it can also lead to complications.
The outcome of this situation is uncertain; if Cody discovers what Ric and Ava are plotting, he has several options at his disposal.
He could report them to the authorities, implicating Kristina for the accident and Ric and Ava for their blackmail scheme.
However, even though his father is Mac, this course of action seems unlikely, especially since he has feelings for Molly (Kristen Vaganos), making it unwise to jeopardize her sister and father.
Which Path Will Cody Take-The Right One Or The Wrong One?
One alternative is to approach Molly directly with the details and allow her to take charge, although he realizes this might distress her. Knowing Cody, he’s likely to make a reckless decision;he might resort to blackmailing the blackmailers, which is typical of him as he attempts to squeeze some cash from Ric and Ava.
Since they are receiving a substantial amount from Alexis, they could afford to share some with him to keep everything under wraps.
Cody should have learned from the experience of concealing his paternity from Mac, yet he often finds it hard to resist temptation. If he gets caught trying to blackmail Ric and Ava, he’ll ruin any chance he has with Molly; will he make a wise choice this time or revert to his old habits?
