General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will interrogate Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) over the events on Cassadine Island. It appears that Britt is the person who has to tell Carly that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is presumed dead. This could be what causes Carly to come unglued and head into a downward spiral.
Questioning Britt Westbourne
GH spoilers reveal that Britt will return to Port Charles and crosses paths with Carly. Britt hasn’t really had much time to process what happened to Jason. A part of Britt wants to believe that Jason somehow survived the tragic collapse that left him buried. Fans know that anything is possible and characters have survived much worse. However, for those in Port Charles, they will eventually accept Jason’s death. Of course, that is around the time that Jason will probably show back up alive and well!
In a teaser clip, Carly asks Britt if everyone that was on Cassadine Island is okay. Britt has a grief-stricken look on her face as she struggles to tell Carly about Jason.

Carly was told that there was no way that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could have survived his tragedy. However, he came home nearly a year later with quite the tale to tell. So, Carly might want to believe in the beginning that Jason somehow survived. As time goes on, though, she will have to accept that Jason is gone.
As fans know, Jason and Carly have been close for many years. Then, they fell in love while Sonny was presumed dead. Even though Carly is relieved to have Sonny back, those feelings for Jason haven’t magically disappeared.
Disbelief, Guilt, Blame and Revenge
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Carly could go through the many stages of grief. There is disbelief and trying to find proof that Jason is alive. Then, she might have some guilt. Carly might think that if she would have chosen him instead of Sonny that he wouldn’t have been on Cassadine Island. After that, Carly will probably look for someone to blame and then we might see her seek vengeance.
General Hospital Spoilers: Pushes Sonny Corinthos Away?
Fans already know that Sonny is trying to deal with his conflicting feelings about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). We would see Carly go down the same path as she realizes that Jason isn’t coming back. Remember, right before Jason’s “death.” Carly tried to call him. Carly needed to talk to Jason and it is a message that he never received. So, this could make her feelings about Jason’s death even more intense.
As Carly struggles to cope and deals with everything else going on in her life, she could reach her breaking point. To find out what happens next, fans will just have to keep watching the ABC soap.
