Ava knows better than anyone that Nina lost her daughter, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) before she knew she was her daughter. That makes an excellent guilt trip to throw at Nina to get her to cooperate; it would certainly add an intriguing twist if Nina agrees, springing a major surprise during testimony.
Nina could find satisfaction in turning the tables by aligning with Sonny and condemning Ava while on the witness stand. Despite feeling hurt by Sonny’s dismissal of their relationship, Nina understands the strong bond between Sonny and Avery.
General Hospital Spoilers: Backstabbing Goes Both Ways?
With Nina’s history of deceptive behavior, it’s not far-fetched to think she might trick Ava into believing she has her support, only to turn around and side with Sonny instead.
This tactic is reminiscent of Nina’s actions during Nelle’s custody battle for Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). But backstabbing goes both ways, and no one can be surprised that Nina is still vindictive with Ava-after all, Ava was Nina’s first husband’s mistress!
Kiki, Nelle, and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) had the same birth father so Kiki was Nelle and Willow’s half-sister. That kind of history, even though there was a several-year pause in the vitriol doesn’t just shrivel up and blow away!
