General Hospital spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will talk about their evolving relationship in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!
General Hospital Spoilers – Vanna On A Slow Burn
General Hospital viewers will recall that Valentin and Anna have known each other for years. He and Anna were in WSB spy school together, where he suffered from a serious case of scoliosis and went by “Ivan Theodore”. Neither knew at the time that Anna had a twin sister from whom she was separated from at birth, named Alexandra Devane, later Alexandra or “Alex” Marick (Finola Hughes) who had also infiltrated the school and was impersonating Anna.
Longtime General Hospital viewers who followed Finola over to “All My Children” will remember the story of how Alex and Anna found out about each other. In the All My Children version, Alex had been brainwashed to impersonate Anna, who she was supposed to kill. Alex was DVX although Anna was also a double agent for a while working for both the WSB and the DVX. General Hospital brought part of that storyline back, explaining it as memory mapping or memory transfer.
Valentin and Anna discussed that the night they were stuck at the house in Pautuck, New York where he talked about how Alex had used him when he was really in love with Anna. They almost kissed that night. Then, on the Fourth of July, Anna burns her finger on a sparkler; Valentin in a very cute manner “kisses her boo boo” but then works his lips all the way up to hers and they have their first real kiss. Or, at least their first real kiss in over thirty years – history is not yet clear on that point! It can be assumed, however that Anna and Valentin began their relationship before Anna and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) fell in love and married.
General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Devane May Feel Herself A Bit Torn Between Hamilton Finn And Valentin Cassadine
General Hospital viewers may notice that Anna may feel herself a bit torn between Valentin and her ex-fiancé Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). It was apparent to General Hospital viewers that Anna still cares about Finn from recent episodes when he finally came up with a cure for his brother Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) even though he remained paralyzed from the legs down due to some atrophy.
Viewers will remember that he had walked around with his IV and his mother, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) not all that long ago, but apparently the General Hospital powers that be decided to stretch out real time like often happens. Anna and Valentin have had a bond over the years in spite of who each of them have been involved with or married to, and even during those many years when they were not in each other’s circles. In fact, Anna was presumed dead for many years after being on a boat that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) were also on.
General Hospital Spoilers: Robin Scorpio-Drake Went to live with Mac and Felicia Scorpio
That was when Robin Scorpio, now Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) went to live with Mac and Felicia Scorpio (John J. York, Kristina Wagner) and was raised with Maxie and Georgie Jones (Kirsten Storms, Lindze Letherman) like sisters. Who knows where Valentin was during all that time? He was a mercenary! He and Anna will discuss their evolving relationship, realizing they may have been on a slow burn for many years!
