General Hospital Spoilers: An Autopsy Is Called In Sam McCall’s Death – Foul Play Revealed?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that there might be more to Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) passing than meets the eye. Sam suddenly passed away during the Wednesday, October 30 episode, and it came completely out of the blue.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was visiting with her daughter, even commenting on the “glow” she had after surgery.
The women were celebrating Sam’s engagement as Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had JUST popped the question. All of a sudden, McCall turned pale and hospital doctors were called to deal with an emergency.
Could foul play be involved?
GH Spoilers: The Hospital Staff Did All They Could
GH spoilers note as her surgical doctor, Sam’s brother, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) lead the hospital team to try to revive her.
They fought as hard as they could, with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) conducting CPR, as Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) assisted, and Lucas offered heart shocks.
Sadly, they could not bring her back. Lucas didn’t want to give up; however, Portia gentle tried to reason with him at the 30-minute mark, with Dr. Jones declaring Sam’s time of death as 5:48 p.m.
While fans aren’t overly shocked, as most knew Kelly Monaco exited the soap and the show had plans to kill Sam off – the way in which she passed is surprising. She was perfectly fine one moment, and the next, she was gone.
All arrows had been hinting to a successful recovery after her transplant surgery and everyone was more concerned about Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) prognosis, versus Sam’s.
An autopsy is bound to be called, so will something suspicious come from it?
GH Spoilers: There’s Something Fishy Going On
There’s been online buzz that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will somehow be behind Sam’s passing, by possibly poisoning her via her IV bag with digitalis or another unknown substance. As Lulu’s ventilator did malfunction recently, both these incidents could be connected.
Cyrus is a wildcard so it’s not unrealistic to think he could be behind both things. But the bigger reason is why would he do such a thing?
Maybe he thought he was mercifully helping Lulu, which is why he disconnected Lulu’s ventilator. Now that there’s hope she’ll have a future, perhaps he poisoned Sam to give Lulu a chance to reunite with Dante.
Regardless, when an autopsy is called – as both Alexis and Lucas will want answers – flags may flying high and could reveal something suspicious was at play. But will anyone be able to link this to Cyrus if he tampered with Sam’s IV or possible medication? Only time will tell.
