General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) hasn’t shown his more ruthless side in quite a while. Even when his medication was tampered with, Sonny didn’t cross the line into murder although he did come close when he beat Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to within an inch of his life.
That’s why it was a bit shocking when Sonny shot FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) in cold blood. Sonny warned Cates not to mess with his family and he paid a steep price when he did so anyway.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos plans to get away with murder!
With the help of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Sonny may get away with it. Michael cleaned up the crime scene and even retrieved the shell casings from Sonny’s gun. Meanwhile, Carly agreed to provide Sonny with an alibi for the time of Cates’ murder.
Sonny believes he has accounted for everything so there will be no proof of his actions. But across town, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has made a chilling discovery.
GH Spoilers – Kristina Corinthos-Davis stole Sonny Corinthos’ gun
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) has been dealing with quite a bit of trauma in recent weeks. She lost the baby she was carrying during an altercation with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Cates used this to arrest Kristina for Ava’s attempted murder as well as the death of her own baby.
Devastated, Kristina stole Alexis’ keys and broke into Sonny’s penthouse where she retrieved another one of Sonny’s guns, Kristina went to the baby’s gravesite and it seemed like she planned to kill herself, although she thought better of it and returned to Alexis’.
General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis will believe that Kristina Corinthos-Davis killed John Cates
Alexis discovered the gun in Kristina’s purse and of course that freaked her out. Once she discovers Cates was murdered at the same time Kristina was missing, she will most certainly be suspicious that it was Kristina who shot Cates. She may even go as far as to confess to the crime herself in order to save her daughter.
But if she does, where does that leave Sonny, Michael and Carly? They’ve already taken great steps to cover up Sonny’s crime. If Sonny does confess, it could mean that Michael and Carly could go to jail as well, leaving Sonny with quite a dilemma.

Alexis is panicking for no reason. she didn’t even find out if Kristina used Sonny’s gun or not. Now she’s planning to confess to something that Kristina didn’t do. Cates was killed by Sonny and Carly and Michael will help cover it up. If Alexis turns herself in, she will ruin everything.

Please! Sonny never crossed the line himself and now the stupid writers and producers made him a murderer! Big mistake with that. They should have made it a dream. They should have had Boyle shoot him!
I am getting frustrated with these dumb writers and killing off Sam is a big mistake
If Alexis confesses to the crime it only compounds the stupid of this storyline. Even when his medication was being tampered with Sonny wasn’t stupid enough to kill Dex on the property where his family lives. Suddenly, medication fixed, he shoots the guy on Quartermaine property where his son lives. Then Alexis throws away everything she’s fought for to protect her daughter without even finding out if her daughter needs protecting?
This is why we waited for a new writing team?
We wanted better storytelling not our favorite characters turned into blithering idiots? Personally, I wanted to see Cates lose everything publicly, but okay, they decided to kill him off. They could have done that AND kept Sonny making the kind of decisions that have kept him impossible to convict over the last 20 or 30 years.
