General Hospital Rumors: Memorials and an Overdue Exit – Is GH Preparing Heartbreaking Tributes?
General Hospital (GH) rumors indicate that some juicy intel is being spread about potential storylines and we have all the news for you here!
First of all, General Hospital needs to address the passings of a few legendary actors. Denise Alexander played Laura Spencer’s (Genie Francis) mom, Lesley Webber. She died in March at age 85 from natural causes and we expect some sort of acknowledgement to be made.
In August the soap world lost Tristan Rogers who played Robert Scorpio. The character was recently acknowledged as being offscreen in Europe with his daughter Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and her mother, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).
In the last appearances that Tristan made, he was fighting end-stage lung cancer. His final appearance as Robert was in July and that’s when his cancer diagnosis was revealed. If the show does plan a proper memorial tribute to Robert, we would expect appearances by his ex Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) and his daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough).
Anthony Geary passed away recently, days after complications of a planned surgery. Luke Spencer died some time ago and on New Year’s Day the show is airing a rerun of the last episode he did as Luke, an encore from 2015.
Will the show air another tribute of some sort to acknowledge the legendary actor’s 2025 death? We’ll have to wait and see but our source indicates that fans expect the show to do something to honor the late actor.
The next rumor concerns WSB Bureau Chief Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna). He has been painted into a corner with his malicious gerrymandering of the Spencer women.
In regard to Jack’s potential demise, we suspect that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) may have something to do with it, if it comes to that.
Jack may even be offed by his underling Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). He has been doing her dirty and she is as vengeful as her mom. And let’s face it, with Jack gone, does Joss really stay in the WSB?
That whole storyline is a farce. Joss as an espionage mastermind on the same level as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is ludicrous, plain and simple. Sources indicate that the show plans to do away with Jack in 2026, the same timeframe we expect tributes to Tristan and Denise.
Keep in mind that these are rumbling from the rumor mill, but you know what they say—where’s there’s smoke, there’s fire!
