General Hospital RUMOR: GH Reached Out To & She’s Ready to Return as Sam McCall?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal some underground rumblings heating up the rumor mill and we have the dish for you right here.
Would you believe that there are whispers of Kelly Monaco bringing back Sam McCall to the ABC soap? Anything is possible in soapland and GH has had a flotilla of dead characters come back recently—what’s one more warm body in the boat?
Is Kelly Monaco Coming Back to GH?
Right now we’re pointing to rumors and speculation, not solid facts. But you know what they say—where’s there’s smoke there’s fire!
And we can’t deny the influx of formerly dead people including Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) into PC this year. Is it a trend that continues into the New Year? The signs are intriguing GH fans!
According to sources, showrunner Frank Valentini has reached out to the GH alum. Monaco is a fan fave and there’s a loud contingent who would love to have her return to PC.

Sometimes TPTB listen to the audience, and for GH one of the biggest examples of this is the retention of Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
When the show announced that the character was a goner, fans acted like someone threw hot water in their collective face.
The outcry was such that today Liz is still in PC years after that bruhaha.

Furthermore, rumors allege that more than one actor on the soap has been pitching Monaco’s return to Valentini.
Let’s face it, this is the perfect t ime for Sam to return. Her exes Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are warring over her kids and as such Sam’s name is routinely spoken these days.

We’d be remiss to not mention the way that Monaco left, with some controversy swirling about the show’s abrupt exit story and Monaco’s subsequent statements.
Sam was in PC for decades bringing back Kelly Monaco would likely be a ratings boost not to mention lead to fantastic storylines given what’s going on in town these days.

A Sam return to GH could serve many good purposes. Most of all for her children who are not getting along well without her on the scene. Sam may be the only one who can make Drew have some sense whereby the children are concerned and Sam just may have to take him to court in order to make things right for the children to be together and with family whenever they want to be. Don’t think any judge would rule in Drew’s favor considering if the things he has done were brought to light.

I have never once commented on one of these things, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE GH to bring back Sam McCall!! I miss her so much! And there are so so many storylines that she could be a major part of not the least of which Is poor Scout. Please GH bring back Kelly Monaco/Sam Call. I know that other girl played Sam on occasion when Kelly wasn’t available, but it wasn’t the same especially since Kelly’s available now.
Great news to hear that the character Sam McCall is returning to GH. Her character is really needed back on the show to bring things back to normal for the children. They need to be a happy family once again. Sam would be the one person to bring Drew to his knees and show him who’s the boss.

I would love for Kelly to come back. I might consider watching GH again but only if the writers do a history check and write Sam as the character she was instead of the wimpy character they had her as. They obviously don’t know history, The fans do. Hopefully it all works out for the actress

It wouldn’t be nexessary to bring her back if they had never tried to dismantle the character and theb write her off in the first place. Let dante hook up so there is no going back and then hace her need jason because her memories had been wiped. Bring back the bad ass she was and let Jason finally admit that he made a horrible mistake when he came back. She has great chemistry with all the Qs and that would be a good jumping off point for her to get involved with all sorts of corporate espionage matters at the mansion.
And when she comes back, can we stop with the Liz always being attached to everything that we talk about regarding Sam? It seems like every time there’s a mention of Sam, people have to bring Liz into the discussion like it was a decade ago. Liaison is dead, thankfully so aside from being casual friends, Sam and Liz are largely irrelevant to another
because they f’d up by firing her and lost viewers, including me. I’ll watch again if they bring back Kelly.
