General Hospital News: Fans Want Lexi Ainsworth Back in Port Charles

It looks like the viewers have spoken. Even though General Hospital comings and goings say that Kate Mansi is the new Kristina Davis in Port Charles, it seems like a lot of viewers are not happy with that recast. It was reported just last week that Kate will be the new Kristina on General Hospital. And while a lot of fans are excited to see the Days of Our Lives alum on the canvas again, many can’t help but wonder why Lexi left the show. That, and they also want to know why she wasn’t given more prominent storylines, either.

While Lexi herself has stated that decision to leave General Hospital was a mutual one between her and the hit daytime television show, a lot of fans still can’t help but wonder what may have really happened behind the scenes. Some even commented with, “I am so surprised by this…Lexi has always been good, when they decide to write for her, which isn’t that much. She also has chemistry with the cast. I don’t understand this. Maybe she got another job…if she did, good for her,” along with, “So not happy to hear this. I really like Kate Mansi, but Lexi was doing a good job and if she didn’t choose this I will be upset.”

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Kristina Davis?

Another critic wrote, “Hmm…this is surprising. I love Kate Mansi, but I’m not sure about her as Kristina (I think she’d make a better Lulu, although my ultimate casting wish for that character is fellow Days Abby Marci Miller). And I’m trying to picture her interacting with the rest of the Davis coven….I’m not seeing it, but I’m keeping an open mind cuz I know she can act the hell outta something if given the material.”

So far Kate Mansi herself has not made any comments about her new role, but there’s no doubt that General Hospital fans are going to tune in to see what she has to offer on her first day in Port Charles. Kate is expected to make her General Hospital debut the week of May 22.
